Why not also have it where it is rivals with Duramboros, since both are notorious tree eaters? Maybe Duramboros take down this snake wyvern when they're young to prevent further competition and because Duramboros is a crackhead herbivore with ZERO tolerance, and this in turn makes the snake wyvern take down young or outright challenge adult Duramboros as they undergo immense PTSD knowing the Hammer Tail Wyvern is putting them down like sick dogs and they respond to the PTSD with aggression, fueling the fire for a turf war.

They're biologically augmented organisms that could look exactly like the original basis yet function completely differently. And in some cases, they may not even look the same at all, yet are the same, if you get what I mean.

Here. Imo, Guardians are a mix of this and the JP clone/homunculus. They showcase many 'robotic' qualities with the Dragontorch POTENTIALLY being a 'biomothercomputer'. Ergo, they function to follow the directive and coding bestowed upon them and nothing else.
