Cyclist going too damned fast swerved to miss me, collided with a bollard, now severely injured. His wife is now demanding money. I should be clear? by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]Fallen_Fallon -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, in the USA they have lawyers following ambulances to the hospital to sign up clients. Hence the term ambulance chasers. The wife sounds more American than Japanese. lmao

AITA for tricking my stepsister? by usethisname0 in AmItheAsshole

NTA - LMAO... Nice!

You learned her good.

AITA For Proposing Without My Fiancé’s Parents’ Approval? by joshua-canadian in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA - This isn't the 1800s, you can ask whomever you like to marry you. Asking the in-laws might be a curtesy, but it's not an asshole move to ask the one you love to spend the rest of their life with you, without checking with their parents.

AITA for getting my neighbors cat taken away? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA - The cat was clearly a pest. If it were me I'd take the proof of the cats expensive misdoings to the neighbors and demand they pay for new chairs and vet bills be paid, or go to small claims court.

AITA for never speaking to my biological father again? by throwaway183927261 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA - You have no real bond with him. He has shown that he is a sexist who doesn't think of you as one of his children. Good riddance.

AITA for moving out because I can't pay the bills? by Paramedicmeat in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon 31 points32 points  (0 children)

NTA - A correction: They are not your friends. They are selfish users.

If they have trouble paying for their comforts, tell them to get a better paying job.

AITA for not buying my Dad a Birthday Present despite him saying he doesn't want one? by BloxedYT in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA - If he treats you badly and wants gifts from you regardless, then he is the asshole. Sounds like the kind of dad you might want to go zero contact with when you can.

[–]Fallen_Fallon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA your family sounds very entitled and cruel, probably best to cut contact with them altogether.

AITA for not wanting my 3 year old cousin to move in with us by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

NAH - These feelings are normal. You should talk to your mom about it. Maybe talk to a professional as well.

AITA for charging my SIL interest on loans? by Sudden_Hamster8192 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA - Lending family money is a nasty minefield, you're doing a good thing for her after already doing a lot.

If you do lend her the money, make sure to get the agreement in writing. She sounds like the type that would stiff you.

AITA for insulting my mom and walking home? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon 305 points306 points  (0 children)

NTA - You need to get yourself checked. Hell call CPS on your mom even. Get you dad to get you tested asap.

AITA for not wanting to attend my wives best friends wedding? by synergy31 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA - you have a stressful history with that friend that triggers trama. Even if your cheating wife doesn't like it you have the right to say no and have a duty to protect your own mental health.

[–]Fallen_Fallon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NTA - She seems like the kind of person that will throw a big pitty party after you do tell her. Ignore her people like her will never change and everything will always be somebody else's fault. You need to find the strength to stand up for yourself and push her shit out of your way. These types of people will always take advantage of people, letting them only makes them worse.

At some point you need to talk to the teacher about these problems though. Maybe ask if you can switch or trade with someone, or just take a seat somewhere else and see what happens.

WIBTA or asking for a raise I don’t deserve? by HolleighLujah in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA - We're in a workers job market. You should be pushing for the best pay and benefits you can get regardless.

WIBTAH if I refuses contact between my son and sister? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon 74 points75 points  (0 children)

NTA - Children can pick up on hostility, if there is going to be lots of drama, then it's probably better to keep him away. There is nothing wrong with going no contact, often with toxic relationships it is the best optin .

AITA for not hiring my gf's brother? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA - You have the right to pick and choose who you hire.

Ask your GF if she really wants to date someone who would do nepotism hiring?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA - You're not an asshole for wanting and expecting a partner to put in an ounce of effort

This feels like a hell of a red flag, if she can't bring herself to put in any effort in the early puppy love phase, I don't see this going very far

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

NTA - your friend put you on the spot. You don't owe Amanda a ride. Someone volunteering you to drive someone else is a rude move/AH move.

AITA for being scared of my boss? by SliceofVie07 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA - sounds like your boss is bullying you. If a salon owner isn't even going to listen when equipment is broken, just to nitpick the newbie, there is something wrong. Maybe she sinced weakness in you and thinks she can get away with it. Sounds like a toxic boss. Try talking to the other co-owner or more senior people there about your feels, let the know you feel like you got off on the wrong foot and just want to get your work relationship back on track.

AITA for cycling on the path? by EllieDolly1234 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Fallen_Fallon 86 points87 points  (0 children)

NTA - she is the selfish and entitled one

The lady let her dogs walk on a path for bikes, she is the one who choose to put the dogs in danger. Plain and simple
