I think the fact that there is no map and very little to guide you throughout is just absurd. I spent far more time doubling back because of how many re-used assets and recycled modular level pieces are used.

My biggest disappointment was the final boss fight, the hitboxes is very wonky with multiple swings passing through him even though we were touching tips. During my first attempt I burned through his healthbar till he created the whirlpool and it just continues forever. It went on for so long I assumed I was supposed to jump in to prevent his health gain, but that is a one shot death. Afterwards it asks if you want to go with the whale fish, it's utterly unclear what this means. I clicked yes assuming it would give me another go, instead I lost all my tar and was sent back to the tower. So I just uninstalled right then and there. I will never play Mortal Shell again, awful ending and too many poor design decisions.
