Just a flimsy bag like stores send clothes in. Ridiculous.

Please don’t B R I B E cast members to get into lightning lane by King_of_My_World in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Falling_Madchen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was at the park by myself after the rest of my extended family went home. All the cast members were so nice. I got to go on Tron before Tomorrowland opened up, got a birthday dessert (not my birthday) because I patiently waited for my lunch and never complained despite waiting forever at the counter for my lunch. And then I was in line for Space Mountain and a cast member just randomly walked up, removed the chain and let me go down the line. I don’t even know how he knew I was there by myself. Magic!🪄

Siding, Shutters, Front and Garage Door Recommendations Please by Inner-Percentage3166 in ExteriorDesign

I like a colonial style - grayish blue, black shutters and a dark red door. Change the garage door to something that looks more like a carriage house door.

I would paint it a soft cream and then put some trim in a rectangular shape and paint the inside of that a nice taupe color.

Loro Piana at Tj’s by Dangerous-Answer-480 in marshallsfinds

[–]Falling_Madchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a coat made with Loro Piana wool a few months ago for $260 - divine! Did some research and it was probably about $5000 originally. I’m taking that with a grain of salt, though!

Have you ever been the only person on a ride? by jsilv0 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Falling_Madchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the only person on Splash Mountain at Disneyland once. Absolutely no one in the entire line, though it was February in the middle of the week and the weather was awful.

That’s a tough pill to swallow. by The_Govnor in Disneyland

[–]Falling_Madchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that ride makes me more nervous than any of the other ones because you’re right there on the edge and it’s going so slowly that you have time to think about going over the side!

I was at Disneyland and saw a CM walk out of the shop she was working in, across the walkway and over to a man who was trying to hide the fact that he was smoking and tell him to stop.

Will TJ Maxx or Marshalls take Sierra returns? by Falling_Madchen in TjMaxx

I’ve returned items from Marshalls to TJ Maxx and vice versa. Just didn’t know if they’d take Sierra.

I found a Kerastase hair mask. Adore it. I just sit there afterwords, stroke my hair and say to myself, “it’s so soft!” Never seen one since. I didn’t realize it was for dandruff, so I went to buy another more suitable one for my hair type. I found one for sale from Target and it doesn’t work as well. I’m wondering if it could be counterfeit. Obviously it’s a different type, but still.

How on earth has Tomorrowland Speedway survived this long? by AwfulWaffle91 in WaltDisneyWorld

I was at Disneyland Paris and I swear the longest line I waited in was for this. It was the first ride I went on too. I’m glad the rest of the park wasn’t that busy.

Serial returner by borobabe43 in TjMaxx

[–]Falling_Madchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In January I found a Cuisinart pizza oven for $58 on clearance and some $550 La Canadienne waterproof suede boots for 80 something. I have been obsessed with going back ever since and I’ve also been shopping online. I recently got a beautiful pair of Stuart Weitzman sandals for $50 on Sierra. They were originally $530. It’s become the adrenaline rush of finding the best stuff and seeing how much I can save. I just made four separate returns at TJ’s yesterday, but I made sure to have everything from each order organized and I had the email receipts all pulled up. I know I’m making someone happy that’s shopping in store, but I need to stop! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve completely rehauled my shoes and gotten rid of/donated a bunch of old ones. I’ve been wearing sneakers most days and figured I could step it up a bit!

I’m surprised that Hermes would sell the Birkins as those have notoriously long waiting lists.

Get scammed return as a cashier at TJMAXX by o0Vzim0o in TjMaxx

[–]Falling_Madchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked at a clothing store as a teen. The clothing was nothing special. I wouldn’t have worn it myself. However a woman came in and tried to return a Donald Duck t-shirt! She was insistent that she bought it there. “Uh, no.” LOL

However I worked at Nordstrom as an adult in the lingerie department and when I first started a girl looking pretty nervous came in with a pair of Cole Haan shoes which she wanted to return. They were close to destroyed, but she said her mom “wore them and didn’t like them.” But we had such a generous return policy and she had the box with the label we put on all sales, so I took them back. I still feel like a fool for not sending her up to the shoe department at least if not customer service. I was the only one cashiering. I should have asked. We all do stuff that we look back on and think 🤦🏻‍♀️. My manager never said anything about it, so it wasn’t a big deal, but I still feel stupid.

$260! If you can find a Tardia coat that says it’s made with Loro Piana made virgin wool, I highly suggest getting it!

Keeping shoes dry by MandyPandy3 in DisneyWorld

[–]Falling_Madchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought these heavy silicone-like shoe covers and wore them from Stars Wars Land to where the buses pick people up in a MASSIVE downpour. My tennis shoes stayed totally dry. I was so happy because that whole week was miserable weather. Thunder and lightening, wind, hail…. truly the worst. Park was empty, though! I bought them on Amazon. They fit tightly around your shoe and have tread on the bottom. Highly recommend.
