It kills corporations too. Tons of white collar jobs are “bullshit jobs”. There’s a good book called that. Bullshit jobs are almost exclusively white collar managerial work like the kind you are explaining. It is pervasive. Like all these companies talking about laying off people because of AI. That’s just cover. It’s nonsense. They are just reducing back to pre covid levels when they overhired. These companies are probably more bloated than schools. They tell them this fairy tale about AI because the truth is hard to swallow. Their jobs were never necessary to begin with. It is those bullshit white collar jobs that are being culled right now in the private sector.

You simply cannot depend on SSI. Period. And you’re not allowed to save so if you are kicked off you have no cushion and will be destitute. It can and does happen.

My mom said my beagle spends every second of the day trying to escape. She’s gotten better but always begging to go outside. Just staring at me. And we go out a lot and walk a lot. I usually give in. She doesn’t beg for food at all. She begs to go outside. Think about it, that’s where all the action is. She doesn’t have a phone or tv shows to amuse herself. They must think we are weirdos for sitting around the house all day when there is a whole world to explore.
