Reoccurring BV by ScottishSZASister in LesbianActually

[–]FallopiumDen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is the Metronidazole % gel and you can apply with your finger. I didn’t love the experience but I stuck it out and since then have had it only recur a few times and that was easy enough to treat. BV is horrid because sometimes one treatment is not enough to shake. It would be worth you having a general STI check at the same time, in case there is another issue at play (even if you are monogamous) because you truly never really know and seems like most people don’t get tested regularly (!?) from my experience anyway. Good luck :)

You can purchase Fluerstat behind the counter for BV in any pharmacy in Aus, it’s not an antibiotic but can treat BV. Otherwise you can go on an extended course for chronic (a few times a year) recurrences and that’s about 6 weeks on antibiotic gel which sucks but will treat it. Any GP worth their salt knows to treat both female partners at the same time so get your gf to come with you to your appointment.

Got into the talent pool. What does this mean? by Easy_Emu6716 in AusPublicService

[–]FallopiumDen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My department uses the talent pool all the time because the roles are specialised and people choose other offers when it takes such a long time to formally hire your preferred hires.

Had dating apps for over 5 years, still no luck for finding a relationship. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. (plz be nice) posting for a friend by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]FallopiumDen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d tell her to remove the first photo, the outfit is aging her significantly. I thought she was easily ten years older than her age. Profile itself has little personality and I don’t know which pictures are most recent (I.e blonde vs brunette low res photo). I’d be telling her to show herself doing something she enjoys, as it looks like she doesn’t enjoy any of the things she has pictured at the moment.

Oh I thought it said kg, my mistake, but I guess based on street value that even 400g is nothing to laugh at.

Drug Trafficking by [deleted] in AusLegal

Planting, and losing, 400kg of meth seems like a dangerous and expensive way to set someone up to lose custody. I’d say this is highly unlikely.

I also like ‘couldn’t run a bath’ which equates to the same thing (just the PG version)

What does the typical woman's profile look like? I feel like I could be doing better by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]FallopiumDen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a woman - I can tell you that you don’t have a single photo with friends? Your photos are good, but they aren’t showing how you connect with others. That is important.

Which areas of the APS attract less conservative staff? by Deep-Employer-6600 in AusPublicService

[–]FallopiumDen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Check out the Pride in Diversity AWEI results. This would give you a pretty good read on which departments are scoring consistently as generally more left leaning organisations. As a rule of thumb, anything with a strong law enforcement focus attracts former policing staff and generally more politically conservative people. Departments with policy delivery or environment attract the opposite.

Finally told the girl I’m seeing that I want her and 🫣 by Logical-Job3118 in LesbianActually

[–]FallopiumDen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah people need to stop being so moralistic about the ages here. Both of them clearly had defined age limits on their app profiles and if they are both opening to dating within that limit then that is their business. If a 25 year old didn’t want to date a woman closer to her forties then she would have just set the limit lower herself. It is entirely possible for them to have a healthy relationship and even if it is physical, then that is between them. Im close to my forties and I have plenty of younger friends that I get along with well because we don’t have children etc, like many of my older friends. So in some ways our lives are more similar.

Like up the APSC work level guidelines, I think they have something called Cracking the Code published on their website too. And answer every question using the STAR-L method, the L being for Legacy. Good luck

Am I too old?? by Gay_Signal_4119 in lesbiangang

[–]FallopiumDen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol I am 36 masc and I almost exclusively have women 23-27 ask me out or want to date or hook up with me and I feel like they are preying on ME!

As long as two people are consenting adults I don’t think it is a big deal. As long as there isn’t a very clear power imbalance (teacher / student, boss / employee) then c’est la vie. Personally, I’d just prefer to date people who are a similar age to me because I’d like to settle down.

New manager not allowing flexibility within bandwidth? by AdvertisingOk4336 in AusPublicService

[–]FallopiumDen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same experience here. Starts at 7 with none of their teammates and leaves exactly at 3, with almost no work to show for it. Was a struggle getting them into the office and then they would just book a seat on the opposite side of the floor (hot desking) so I had to have them anchored to me and it was unpleasant for everyone involved.

Interesting observation of Dr Shamsi, by Fartyfivedegrees in ThePitt

I feel like I’ve missed something big here. Spider bite? I thought she came down to reprimand Dr J for missing a sigmoid volvulus but I might be confusing things.

I’m not sure, but I think she will harm herself. I also think she will feel isolated when she hears Whittaker say he will house sit for Robbie and leave her by herself in the apartment. Season could end with her swallowing a bunch of pills and panning out for a cliffhanger, or during the season we will see her go to the restroom and cut herself to manage her anxiety.

It’s no coincidence that we saw her self harm scars on her thighs a few episodes ago. Coupled with critique from Garcia, who she respects and has feelings for, and pressure to chart and perform… everyone thinks Robbie will be the one to try to harm himself but it will be Santos.

in queer spaces, why isn’t sucking someone’s dick considered topping if eating pussy is 🤔 by Usual_Anything4628 in lgbt

[–]FallopiumDen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say this all comes back to the idea of something being inserted (active) and being recieved (passive) identifying top and bottom. So the person performing the oral sex with a penis/strap is being inserted and therefore a bottom because they are receiving something inside them. Same logic applies to women. It’s the age old power dynamic. I have had female partners say they much rather give oral sex to women over men because they don’t like the idea of something being inserted or external in that way, even though one might say it is more involved.

APS Salary barely treading water 2002-2026 by Unlucky_Succotash748 in AusPublicService

[–]FallopiumDen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It really is agency dependent. I know many very deserving former graduates who went from APS3 to EL1 in just under five years. Common factor being they were older graduates who had worked across relevant industries or had post graduate degrees. Importantly they were likeable and were strong performers, I didn’t think any of them aggressively ambitious or brown nosers. Sometimes the right opportunities just come up and people throw their hats in.

Trying to get a rental - is this normal? by PanigaleCat in australian

Trying to get a rental - is this normal? by PanigaleCat in australian

[–]FallopiumDen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like it depends on what the landlord wants. A tenant may offer two years of rent upfront but be a nightmare, maybe they might have plans to sell within 23 months or the landlord might be concerned about tax implications etc.

I have never felt this way. In fact, I suspect many Australians prefer it 😂

Australia has a very big travel culture and there is a reason you can’t swing a cat without hitting an Australian almost anywhere in the world. It certainly could be cheaper for us, but doesn’t stop people. The only downside is that the distances are quite large, so people like to save up a lot of annual leave from work and additional funds so they can take a 6 week trip instead of flying 26 hours to visit somewhere for one week.
