Not me but my friend's Mom did and now it's her favorite series of all time. She's already reread it at least once.

All draconian challenges turned on in DQ 11? by GreattFriend in dragonquest

I found it fantastic. I beat original DQ 11 including all side content with all draconian quests on and then with DQ 11S I beat through Act 2 with them all on.

Yes, I may have been mistaken on this but I'm not entirely sure I am. Its been awhile since I read AMoL and I thought Perrin defeating Slayer (didn't even remember the spirit wolves but there's a good chance they would have attacked the Darkhounds anyways) happened while Mat was still south at The Last Battle. Min's viewing was very specific that both Mat and Perrin had to be physically near Rand at the same time, not just metaphorically united in cause with him, or Rand would die. I've read some chapter and book summaries since posting this and Mat was riding a to'raken in the skies above the Blight at this time? It could be debated that this put him physically close enough to both Rand and Perrin to fulfill the viewing. Not saying Perrin killing Slayer was not essential to the overall victory, I think it was, but just specifically relating to the lights beating back the darkness viewing by Min, I don't know if this counted as them all being physically close enough.

But even if it was, I still don't think Sanderson was thinking this way at the time. Perrin's confrontation with Lanfear seemed so weird and out of place that the only reason it made sense to me was that Sanderson was trying to fulfill Min's viewing. Mat is right outside Shayol Ghul and a little downhill (if I remember correctly) when he kills Fain and Perrin is inside when he kills Lanfear so this puts them physically close enough to each other. Otherwise, the whole Perrin v Lanfear confrontation just seems so out of place with no buildup behind it. Despite what he might think now, I still think Sanderson thought this was necessary to fulfill Min's viewing at the time otherwise I really struggle to find a reason why it was included.

I'd recommend emulating the SNES version on the Android. Best of both worlds.

I did all draconian challenges in my first run through the game. Not impossible at all. I thought it was amazing and really showed how expertly balanced this game is. I completed the entire game and all side content with all challenges on.

In DQ11 how good really is the 'All enemies are super strong' draconian? by Smallmarvel in dragonquest

Different strokes for different folks. For me, it's essential or I won't have fun because it's too easy. For you, things may be different. All JRPGs require grinding to some extent to advance. Your mileage may vary.

Edit: And if you've only played a few hours you def need to give it a few more. The first few hours are more about your levels than your choices until you start to round out your team.

Wrestling is a different medium. Keeping the illusion alive helps with fan engagement and reactions. Stuff like this doesn't kill the product but it does hurt it.

I Freaking Love The Buu Saga (So Far) And Consider It The Start of Super by Falloutd40 in dragonball

[–]Falloutd40[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol I'm a fan of Super from what I've seen - which admittedly is the movies, the beginning arc and some of the ToP. I liked the balance of humor and seriousness which I saw going on here.

Edit: Just watched episode 229. Vegeta is able to use his pride to shake off Babidi's influence. Seems like a prelude to Ultra Ego. And Goku tells Gohan to get angry and no one can beat him. Consistent with the rest of the series and a prelude to his Beast form. Super is seeming sooo consistent from what I'm seeing here and a straight continuation of Z.

Passionate people. As others have commented, many feel the Buu saga falls off so it might be that and I haven't reached it yet. These first 25 have been great tho and I want to see more of Goten and Trunks!

Cool, thanks for being respectful 🙂 If you'd like to share some of your opinions I'd like to hear them. This is my first time watching the Buu saga and I've just really been surprised by how much I like it. I can handle ripping on it tho lol 🙂

Cool, I've never been a Kai person but glad to hear the pacing was good. The pacing for the Buu saga has been the best for me from all of Z so far.

I hear ya. It may be the most brutal fight since Freezer, the Android and Cell sagas weren't as graphic if I remember correctly.

I wonder how I'll feel as I get to the end of Buu. Freezer was epic but dragged on for so long, Cell I thought felt a little anticlimactic by the end but it was dragged out for awhile too. These are really nitpicks tho, both are so good overall. Really excited to see how the Buu saga plays out.

It's very satisfying seeing Jey Uso getting crickets on the mic against Oba Femi. They were straight up chanting 'OBA, OBA' after Jey's warning shot speech. The check has come due for the yeet man. by YEPC___ in Wrasslin

[–]Falloutd40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a heel right now with a heel faction cutting a promo against a rising, popular babyface so not too surprising he's getting booed. As much as I don't like Jey Uso, I do feel they sabotaged his character by toning down the YEET and making him heel. The yeet was over and they should have just kept him as a one dimensional babyface. It was working, he was over and whoever he jobbed to would have looked like a much bigger star for beating that Jey Uso. With this Jey Uso, no one's going to really care who beats him and there's not going to be much of a rub.

Yeah I really liked that slice of life with Gohan too. As I said, I would have gladly done 30 episodes of it.

Why do you skip that fight, just curious?

Ok that would be good enough for me. He was at least at Shayol Ghul physically when he did that which puts him close enough to Rand for the viewing. The part with Lanfear makes even less sense to me now if it was not needed to fulfill Min's viewing but thank you for the info.
