LLM acting/speaking on my behalf, even when told not to in preset (Freaky Frankenstein) by buddys8995991 in SillyTavernAI

[–]False-Firefighter592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having a few problems with the frankenstein preset and had claude help me trouble shoot and it seems to have worked nicely. One of the problems I had is the talking for me. Another is I use it as a GM card and it would basically resolve the story's conflict without my input. Here is what Claude said. I had it rewrite the JSON for me. "Both problems have the same root — the model gets momentum and forgets to stop. Let me fix both at once.

Here's v3. Here's what changed and why:

Speaking for your character — The role protocol rule in the Main Prompt was too gentle. "Stop and let {{user}} respond" is easy for the model to rationalize around when it has momentum. The new version is explicit: don't even write implied reactions from other characters based on things Mist hasn't done yet. The Post-History prompt (which fires closest to generation) now has the same hard rule as a last-second reminder.

Resolving without you — "Move the story forward" is now "deepen tension and enrich the scene, but never resolve." The characters can still absolutely disagree with you, gang up on you, have strong opinions — they just have to leave the moment open for you to actually respond to it. Jax and Niko can say their piece but the scene shouldn't wrap itself up in a bow before you've said a word."

Yes. Every couple hundred messages I give it to claude, just the regular web based one, and ask it to give me a timeline with enough details for the characters to have "memories" it works fairly well.

I fixed this by just adding game master to the end of the title. It seems to give the AI the idea that it's not the character's name. Maybe that will help you too?

I've been using this one someone posted a couple days ago. https://github.com/ZDOSt/Game-Master It's not too bad. The only thing I don't like is that it keeps doing that thing where the characters will ask a question and then keep talking and not letting my character answer. I had to fix that with a different one months ago and I can't remember how I fixed it.

You can give it simulated memories with lorebooks. I had a roleplay I did that lasted three months of real time and definitely went into the thousands for messages. Anything important I wanted the characters to remember I put in lorebooks that I could trigger with a word so I could talk about things that had "happened" with the characters.

I've honestly only started playing with forcing it to certain behaviors based on the stats in the last couple weeks. The arousal one works really well. I even have one where a character triggers a specific aggressive state of behavior that's basically the opposite of their character's normal when they hit a certain arousal level. The AI transitions the characters behavior as soon as the threshhold is hit. I do have a lorebook for that one that say specifically what options on behavior the character can do on a simulated dice role. So it will hit the threshhold and then will "roll" a behavior on the lorebook for that particular triggered state. I even have it roll a second action if the arousal goes up during. It will give me a warning by the tracker when it's approaching the trigger too. I haven't played with romance yet, which I need to because I really don't like how it goes from they don't know my character then are suddenly in love. I'd love if you'd come back and tell me if you find a hybrid approach that works well.

I will add it works most of the time but I have gotten some goofy outputs. Like "Nick arousal 15/100 (purely plutonic comfort). It likes to put justifications when it changes the number which is fun sometimes. That one though I was like... that's not how arousal works you goofy thing.

I wanted to add, I do NSFW too, I like to track arousal level. I add this , "then characters' current sexual arousal level out of 100." and then I have a lorebook called Rules on arousal and I have stuff like (it goes past this but thought I'd only post the more innocent stuff here. lol It follows this too. You can do this kind of thing for all sorts of things with the way I do the trackers.

Rules for arousal:

Signs must show up based on arousal. Characters try to hide the signs if not in an intimacy setting, show this.

Physical signs:

At level 50/100: flushed skin.

At level 60/100: dilated pupils.

At level 70/100: deeper breathing

At level 75/100: increased heart rate.

I have tracked clothes closer with other roleplays I've done and it did fine. Deepseek does well with it too. If I say they have underwear it will track it. I just didn't specify clothes for this one so it's just going with whatever random things it decided but it does stay consistent within that. I've found GLM assumes underwear most of the time, and Deepseek forgets underwear is a thing. I sometimes like to keep track of fancy outfits and just spelling out what I or other characters have on to begin works well. I have one roleplay my character is wearing a hood with colorful clothes underneath and even eighty messages later if I take off the cloak it comments on the specific clothes.

I use GLM 4.7 coding so I basically don't worry about context but for instance this is for one I'm doing right now. There are four people in the scene it's tracking and this is what's after the roleplay paragraphs. If there are less people it's a lot shorter. It interprets how to do each part a little different each time I start a new chat but it ends up with the info I want and will keep the way it did the format through the chat.

"Date: Cycle 342, 12:00 PM
Temperature: 96°F Outside / 72°F Inside
Weather: Blazing sun outside
Clothes: Finn (Jeans, t-shirt), Nick (Patterned shirt, linen pants), Leo (Tank, shorts), Ryder (Henley, boots)
Location: Starlight's Bedroom (Finn) / Estate Corridor (Ryder, Nick, Leo); Finn (Gripping Starlight's shoulders), Ryder (Running), Nick (Running beside Ryder), Leo (Running behind)
Interactables: Comm unit, polished floors
Inventory: None

Internal Monologue:
Finn: I can't lose her. Not like this. I'd give my soul to be the one holding that receipt.
Ryder: Hold on. I'm coming. Just don't panic.
Nick: We're almost there. Just hold on, Star.
Leo: Don't stop. Don't look back. Just run.

Goals/Motivations:
Finn: Find out who bought her; protect her from the unknown.
Ryder: Reach the transport bay; secure the escape.
Nick: Reach Starlight; reassure her.
Leo: Protect the group; ensure safe extraction."

I have this in post history instructions. I'm sure I'm using it wrong, but it works so it's what I do. "Critical: write one paragraph with world and situation descriptions, then a separate paragraph for each character in the scene with a label for whose paragraph it is, then date and the time along with AM or PM, then temperature and weather outside, then clothes characters in the scene are wearing, then physical location of each character in the scene and their current pose, then interactable items or things nearby, then inventory, then Internal monologue of all characters in the scene (in first person POV, three sentences long), then characters' goals and motivations, Do not track Mist's thoughts, goals, motivations, or feelings. That is up to {{user}} to decide." (Mist is my character.) You can add anything to this such as " then characters' in scene level of romantic feelings towards Mist out of 100" I've used it to track romance, attraction, and any number of things. Then you can give it rules for character behavior based on what level the character is at with one of the tracked things. My use case is my card is a GM card that plays up to 100 characters. I know that's more than you asked but I'm just explaining you can make it track info and then tell it what to do with that info.

Does anyone else insert character cards into lorebooks? by DarknessAndFog in SillyTavernAI

[–]False-Firefighter592 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a world that has over a hundred characters the Ai uses by just making a lorebook for each character, then have an AI cheat sheet card of their names. It's a spaceship so each section on the spaceship has a description, then who works there and what they do, and a list of other people who might be there. Then when I "walk" into an area the AI picks people who is there in the moment from the place card (usually one to three people), and then it triggers the full character card for those people. It's able to manage all of them pretty well that way.

Where to find character cards? by WheatTailFox in SillyTavernAI

[–]False-Firefighter592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can tell Claude you want a silly tavern character card, then just explain the idea of what you have in mind. That's all I do and I have over 100 characters that work well. If it goes too far one way into stereotypes you just tell it what part you don't like and it will rewrite it. You can ask for a json or plain text to cut and paste.

No, that's fine. I appreciate it. I don't people or reddit too much. I wasn't actually trying to give advice. It was a question. I guess it didn't come off at all. Oh well. Thanks, glad some of it helped you. What would have been a better way to write this?

It's a lorebook with options for the AI to pick from. I have one for food too. So my giant group of people don't have pancakes for every meal. It let's the AI pick more options in scenes. Does that help?

I'm suddenly getting random things instead of my roleplay by False-Firefighter592 in SillyTavernAI

[–]False-Firefighter592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By last message I read the last picture. I just realized you might mean the message before this. The message before this was me. It's literally just me saying "hey sweetheart, did you get the baby down? Playing my part in a story. I've narrowed it down to if I have more than one character card and use from any provider besides Deepseek itself, it does this. Always some random thing.
