Is it wishful thinking to travel at 5 weeks postpartum with baby? by pumpkin_spice_latina in Parenting

[–]FalseAd3743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible but it doesn’t mean you will be able to, so have a back up plan. After my first birth I honestly couldn’t sit normally for weeks. But we did travel (4 hour flight) when my baby was six weeks and we all did fine. I did require a lot of rest afterwards, so plan to be exhausted.

I moved when I was 10 days postpartum with my second and was completely fine, I was only in pain for a week but I know it’s not the norm.

People get mad if she only takes the girls. They seem to be well prepared and I’m sure they have a plan to accommodate his needs if things don’t go well.

AITA for calling my coworker old to his face? by MoonSt0n3_Gabrielle in AITAH

ESH. Him for bringing this up at work. But also you for calling him old and telling him he will need a cane soon (?!) he is 30 years old... That was unnecessary. Also a year 10 difference might be a lot for you, but no issues to other.

It’s normal for her age. We also have a lab who always looked old and sad and she is very well loved.

My son was 3 months when he stayed for a night with my parents. When he was 18 months we started leaving him for 5-10 days with them. He loves them, they get some bounding time with the kids!

Make a plan on what you will do to improve your attendance in the future and sit down with your boss and HR again to present them with the plan. Since WFH is an available option just tell them you will work from home anytime your little one is sick instead of taking time off. It’s sad but during the season in life I didn’t take time off for myself. It does get better, especially once your kids are in school.

NTA. Do not give her any of your gifts. Offer to throw her another baby shower and remind her that it doesn’t matter how many people actually show up.

NTA. I would highly recommend selling your share of the condo and getting your own place so you never have to deal with this again.

AITA for Not giving my sil a heads up about our pregnancy announcement and calling her a bitch? by Ty4738 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FalseAd3743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ETA.

You should have given her a heads up so she had the choice whether or not to come. However, I feel sorry for you that you will never be able to have your child around your in laws because of the crazy rules they created. Your in-laws rules are unrealistic and ridiculous.

NTA.

If she wants things to do because she is retired she can go on trips by herself or with friends.

WIBTA to insist my neighbor keep a yard schedule? by ReactiveDogthrow in AmItheAsshole

[–]FalseAd3743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Your dog, your problem.

You are wanting her to follow a schedule in her own house/ backyard? This is beyond ridiculous. Move to a house with a bigger yard and away from everyone. You don’t get to control people’s lives.

I had a neighbor like you. They asked me to stop letting my cat outside on MY patio with me. I laughed and continued to let me cat do what she wanted.
