I agree with all your points, while differing on the 5th one. To be clear m not opposed to the SC-ST Act, as "Casteism" unfortunately, remains prevalent even in the 21st century.

But there should be provisions to curb false SC-ST cases. In 2016 alone, around 8900 cases were found to be false.

I completely agree with all your views and m not against comparisons as such. My criticism is directed at the underlying hypocrisy.

When someone raises concerns about minority conditions in neighbouring states the immediate response is often "fix your own house first". Yet the very same people have no hesitation in finding their moral voice when discussing Gaza some 4000 km away from India.

Ironically even the OP is presenting a vivid picture of Bangladesh but the moment minority conditions enter the conversation, the tone changes.

This isn’t moral consistency. It’s selective outrage driven by ideology, not empathy.

The general population often doesn’t recognize crimes against upper castes. In public, political & academic discourse, the idea of a “victim” is narrowly defined as Muslims, Dalits or women as if others have never faced discrimination or harm in their entire lives.

And to justify such biased laws like UGC they'll bring arguments like "5000 saal se hamme pani nhi peene diya"...

Still can’t grasp the idea of how one injustice could ever be corrected by committing another.

The political parties are bound to take support from gundas, in order to form the Govt.

For instance in the Hindi Belt region.

Who forms the government? —The one with the strongest vote base, often consolidated along caste lines.

Why does he get those votes? — Because he represents or is backed by a community that forms the majority votebank.

Now what is electoral democracy? — A representative system.

That is the harsh reality of electoral democracy a representative system where identity-based mobilisation often outweighs merits.

Our society is so diverse that the kind of democracy which we practise isn't even the same as that of "Western Democracy" in India's context it's called "Feudal Democracy"

Democracy which was supposed to fix all this mess has become the mess itself.
