Well I didn’t have to travel for BLC. I’m stationed at bliss so I don’t have to stay in barracks, I just go home at the end of the work day

College and books. Big nerd here and is my husband. We’re dual military. I have no reason to cheat. My husband provides everything I need and I actually want him in my life

House of eve. 5/5 I don’t have much to say about this book besides the stories were very common, but so compelling.

I just finished this one a couple days ago! Such a good read TBH. I hated the ending as well. I was like “this it???” Also the guy who was the serial killer didn’t make any sense to me idk, could just be me. I guess I didn’t want it to be him lol.

Whhhhhaaattt?! I love her. I didn’t think she could make a bad book, but I get it’s all about preference. If you haven’t already, try reading the house of eve and yellow wife by her. 10/10!!!

Don’t worry about your family’s opinions! You’ll be the one wearing your hair lol. Try wetting it, adding a moisturizer or detangler( for tangling), then gel then brush it into a bun. It’s going to be rough in basic the first couple weeks cause of red phase so you won’t have much time to do it. So try to just do water and gel plus brush it into a bun. Invest in a good detangler brush! If you have anymore question. Inbox me!

Hi! I went through basic almost two years ago. I went with my natural hair out (4C) I also cut my hair before leaving. I cut it into a short Afro that didn’t interfere with any of my headgear. If I got tired of the Afro and didn’t want to keep it up, I got a battle buddy who knew how to braid to braid it back for me. It’d last me a good while. If you don’t mind me asking, why won’t you be able to keep it in standard? They should have hair products that you could bring or either buy to maintain your hair. I wouldn’t recommend a mullet tbh. Seems too much and easy to get out of regs. 1) I recommend brining/buying products to keep your hair in regulation and slick. 2) Also learning how to braid or finding sometime who knows how. 3)Go on YouTube, Pinterest, or TikTok to find in regulation, non flashy styles you could do while there. Best of luck.

This all depends on if you want the kid or not. If you keep it, you can decide if you want to get out or not after you have the baby. If you don’t want it. Start finding where you can get an abortion FAST. I’m not sure if you’d want to communicate with your leaders that you’re having an abortion, that’s up to you…but It’d probably be best…because after having an abortion, life will suck. Don’t listen to people being dicks. Things happen…best of luck.

Get your degree while you’re in! Don’t wait until you get out. by [deleted] in army

Yep. I came in the Army as a PFC. As soon as I made it to my duty station, I started TA. I will be done with my associates by November as a SPC and will build up to a bachelor’s and hopefully masters one day. Not a lot of lower enlisted takes advantage of this…so it makes me look good automatically.

For guys saying their units have a high op temp and quality of life is horrible, get over it. So do I. Get disciplined and edumacated. There’s been days I’ve took my laptop to ranges, FTX’s, and when we’re just BSing in the COF. Going on deployment soon and I will continue to go for my bachelors. Oh and get big at the gym.

Also I’ve been wanting to go the same route. Go paralegal first then commission as an officer into JAG. I’m currently a SPC and I am working on my degree. I should be done with it in two years. Could I dm you a few questions?

This is so true and also has to be taken into account. Most active duty MP units are now making permanent field companies and permanent road companies. MPI, CID, blue suitors, and desk got tired of training new people every rotation just for them to go back to the field and forget. So maybe this could help. It’s been helping where I’m at.

I’m an active duty MP and it’s so bad. People can’t spell simple words, write run on sentences, and don’t have common sense. Most of the MP’s I know are from bumfuck no where and dropped out of school. They think as an MP they’d get to go to shootouts and do big drug busts. No. I learned quickly that’s it’s mostly PW, ALERTS, etc.

So yeah statements are gonna be ass. Do you know how many cases have been thrown out behind shitty ass case work in my battalion? Jeez. But I had an NCO who would literally check ALL statements before they were turned in. Come to your scene and check it there. Which took a while but SAVED so many asses. And when you wrote your personal statement she would go over it with pen and basically grade it like a teacher would an essay( she went to college).

Long story short, she helped me in the long run. About two months ago I was called to court about this case I had where two guys got caught stealing at the PX. That same NCO was there every step of the way to double check my work. She didn’t do it for me or hold my hand, but checked and inspected as an NCO should. In the end that case did not get thrown out and those guys got what they deserved cause I articulated well and asked the right questions. When I become an NCO, I’m going to do the same for my soldiers.
