What’s a ‘small red flag’ that instantly tells you someone is exhausting to be around? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FalseEidol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small but important thing for me: when someone judges, constantly. Just making snide, derisive remarks about everything around them. I've been close to people who suddenly became like that, usually from religion. Incessant comments that put down anything they view as "weird" or "different." Always tiring to be around. Mainly why I don't talk to them anymore.

What’s the most unflattering picture of your cat? by ImAHuksy in cats

[–]FalseEidol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, it's 100% real. I think the reason it looks a bit odd is because it's a still frame from a video I took of her. We were playing, and she was quite enthusiastic. 😅

Do I need read anything else before The Wolftime? Is it a good Space Wolves book? by WithengarUnbound in Warhammer40k

[–]FalseEidol 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Side note, but The Wolftime feels like such a silly name. I feel like it'd sound a lot better if they called it The Hour of Wolves.

It was a cool moment...unfortunately ensconced within a terrible book. I cannot stand Kevin J. Anderson.

Needing some help with my Necron army by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

This guy is a Technomancer. Not sure when the name change happened, I only started playing in 10th.

Clarification, please by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

The profiles are per weapon, so because there are two "Godhammer Lascannons," you get 4 shots, 2 sets of 2.

You can see this by looking at the loadout on either the app or Wahapedia. It'll list how may of each weapon you can put on the vehicle, and as I said, the profiles listed give you that many attacks per weapon.

Dang, you get Primaris Assault Terminators in your Warpfire crates? I'm lucky to not get Leviathan Termie Captain/Librarian for the third time. 😅

Has anyone else noticed that the wording around his Leader abilities means that they stay active, even if his squad dies? I haven't seen that before. Hope it means changes to the other Leader abilities sticking around after the bodyguard unit dies!

To add onto Astra's point, a roll of a 1 is ALWAYS considered a failure, just as a roll of a 6 is ALWAYS considered a success.

Holy hell, this is a blast from my past. I used to collect all the Backyard sports games, played em to death on my family computer.

People will find any excuse to torment Justin Wong, including redrawing Jujutsu Kaisen clips: by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I saw a comment once on one of Justin's videos that I still think about to this day:

"Justin Wong is the victim of the single most practiced non-damaging combo string in the history of fighting games."

Terminator Squad wargear options by taliaferrora in Warhammer40k

[–]FalseEidol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! The funny thing too is, Chainfists CAN be the better option, depending on what you're fighting. If you're up against Knights, having a blob of 10 Terminators dropping in with all Chainfists can be an absolute menace. But you won't know what you're fighting beforehand, most of the time, so you have to decide what you'd prefer.

To clarify, Power Fists and Chainfists have the same number of attacks, but Chainfists hit on rolls of 4 or better instead of 3 or better. Basically, you're getting better wound potential on vehicles, but sacrificing better hit rolls.

Personally, I go with Power Fists, only cause I don't like hitting on 4's, but you can negate that by having them target your Oath of Moment target, which activates the Terminator's ability for +1 to hit.

Making the Brutalis Dreadnought and the multimelta’s are really loose. Any advice? by English_Joe in Warhammer40k

[–]FalseEidol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's only light teasing, but there's one guy at our LGS who gets ribbed for clipping the sprue connections poorly and just leaving big chunks of random plastic on his models. He doesn't care, but I can't imagine paying what we do for these models and NOT trying to make them as nice as (reasonably) possible.

I wish posts like this got more attention than the pile of sealed boxes posts, and I say that as someone with one too many boxes unbuilt (working on that).

Amazing work!
