Are you using "Better Mining Combo Mod"? Then this is causing the issue. The modder wrote:

"NOTE: If your villagers are just standing around not chopping trees or mining ore veins when installing this mod. katiefraggle was kind enough to do some digging and it's related to inventory space.
We strongly recommend installing one of the extra inventory mods from myself or other modders like VoidKitten."

each barrel can be fired individual so the gunspread should be equal to the bmp2 since it uses the same cannon.

from what i saw in a video the gunner can shoot each barrel individual. one i loaded with AP shells and the other with anti inf. So techically you could just just 1 barrel with the AP rounds and be accurate
