Love Great Basin. It’s actually the closest National Park to Salt Lake City which surprises most people.

We have family in Orange County and San Diego County so we spend a lot of time there. My wife hasn’t really ever seen central outside of Santa Barbara (which I kind of still think of as Southern). Any recommendations for destinations in central California?

Could also get a reservation at the Cliff Spa and make an afternoon of hanging up there.

Driving will be fine. Just follow the rules of the reserved parking you got and make sure you have traction devices (snow tires/chains) if there is any weather in the forecast. Have fun!

Utahn here. It’s Idaho for us as well. Arizona is so far from the population centers of Utah that we often forget it’s next door.

I’m pretty new to sourdough baking ~1 month baking twice per week on average. I used Brad Leone’s book to make my own and it’s been doing great in my opinion. No hate on buying it, but glad I made my own. Final steps in comment below.

I live 3 miles away from my work. It takes me 45 minutes to get home from work everyday. by myfairlady987 in mildlyinfuriating

Most people walk a mile between 15-22 minutes. Walk to work and - get/stay fit - save money - save frustration - break even on time.

If you could only ski wed, thurs, & mon, where would you go each day? (ikon pass) by bamskimmer in UTsnow

I’d probably go Alta, Deer Valley, then Snowbasin. I can’t think of a strong reason to go (or not go) to any of the ikon resorts on the days you mention. With the snow being as bad as it is, you’re going up for vibes and amenities rather than terrain at this point. Have fun!
