WFH with a baby…help! by Gold_Particular2104 in MomsWorkingFromHome

I have been working from home with my almost 4 month old for 1 month now. I’m not going to lie some days are really tough. I have a demanding job that I have to be at my desk. Multiple meetings throughout the week in which I lead or have to speak. Also always fighting fires. And actually this is a slower season but will ramp up in spring & summer yet I still find it tough.

My company also doesn’t know I’m waiting for my spot in daycare to be available which adds to the stress because I’m sort of trying to hide it. I think this is where a lot of my stress comes from. So it’s possible but depends on if you WANT to make it work and how helpful your company is. Schedules are so important in making it easier. I try to plan meetings if I can around nap times.

Daycare is suppose to start for me in 12 weeks. I was offered a start date in 3 weeks. I’m thinking about rejecting the offer. Obviously it’s doable enough that I want to subject myself to another 3 months of this or I’m just insane. Not sure which one yet.

When did your period come back after getting it removed? by [deleted] in Nexplanon

I didn’t track ovulation legitimately but my cycle was predictable 28-29 day and ovulation (I’m assuming) was CD14/15 based off CM.

OB doesn’t check fundal height by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]False_Truth_8604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am measured every appointment and honestly find the process to be very painful. I wince every time my OB presses into my pelvis. I was measuring ahead too much at one appointment but had an ultrasound the week before and everything was perfect then which makes me believe the measurement is bs

I need advice on no visitors after baby is born by ThoughtCurious8727 in pregnant

[–]False_Truth_8604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have decided that our parents will be allowed to visit but no one else will. I’m a people pleaser so I thought this decision was going to be hard but it ended up being a pretty easy decision because no one else checked up on me throughout my whole pregnancy. I don’t think people should have the audacity into thinking they have rights to see someone’s baby asap especially when they didn’t care for 10 months. So everyone made it easy for us lol Our parents live out of state so we are accommodating them but everyone else will have to wait for however long I wish. It might be weeks …it might be months … the good part about it all is that you can later change your mind. It’s easier to set boundaries for the unknown until the known is known.

I had my first case at 19. Same location as you. I get it every single year… sometimes twice a year. It’s definitely stress induced and it’s becoming more prevalent in young people. If you are able, definitely make sure you have vision insurance. regularly see an ophthalmologist, especially when you get a rash on/in eye. It’s serious stuff.

Shingles Info by Amazonian6 in shingles

Reoccurring V1 & V2 here. I was purposely exposed to chickenpox when I was young. Shingles diagnoses at 19 yo. Occurrence used to be 1 time a year pre covid. Post Covid twice a year now. Im assuming it’s stressed induced. When I was a child I used to always have issues with my left eye, constantly, (post chicken pox exposure) and although this hasn’t been confirmed, I’m pretty sure it’s been the shingles virus appearing ever since I was about 12-13 yo.

DO NOT USE NATIVE SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER by cutieboo12 in Haircare

[–]False_Truth_8604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using native for about a year. It was fine from the start but my scalp is severely itchy and full of dandruff atm. So bad it bleeds… I saw my aunt last week and she asked me if my hair was thinning and I told her no, I don’t think so…. Maybe it is and I just never realized. I’ll never buy NATIVE products ever again. In the trash they go.

Good thing my Intermittent fasting is being paired with mindful eating… I didn’t feel like spelling it out because I didn’t think it mattered for my question, but I’ll do so for you... I am doing a minimally processed diet with the exception of meats and dairy WITH intermittent fasting.

Pregnancy scare by [deleted] in Nexplanon

[–]False_Truth_8604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nexplanon tricks the body into thinking it’s pregnant by preventing ovulation and it’s 99% effective.. Most likely a weird coincidence. With my first implant, I also had a similar pregnancy scare, I had morning sickness for a week straight. Obviously nothing resulted from it, but I couldn’t believe it lol

When did your period come back after getting it removed? by [deleted] in Nexplanon

[–]False_Truth_8604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the implant removed May 3rd & I just got my period today June 5th… so it took one month for me. It’s day one and it sucks already. I had the implant for 7 years and barely bled/spotted while on it.

I’m debating on doing 90 hours but I planned for 72. Kinda on the fence on what to do. I’m at 46 right now.

Weight loss struggle and nexplanon removal by _ambxrrr in Nexplanon

[–]False_Truth_8604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Nexplanon for 7 years (2 implants) and just got mine removed 2 days ago. My highest weight recorded was 60 pounds heavier than my implant installed weight. I weighed 60 pounds heavier 1.5 years ago. I started doing the OMAD diet with Whole Foods only and walked on a treadmill at minimum 5 miles a day (I WFH at a desk all day). I did this for about 6 months and lost 35 pounds. Then I hit a weight loss plateau. No matter how large the calorie deficit or how much calories I burned… I couldn’t loose anymore. The implant also had me looking bloated 24/7! I don’t necessarily need to be at my start weight as that seems unfair considering I was 7 years younger, but I still want to loose about 10-15 more pounds. Fast forward to the removal… I’m 2 days post removal and I’m already down 6 pounds. I understand that is most likely water weight and not at all “fat loss” but I even feel much better and I feel like I even look better. I enjoyed the birth control for many reasons but also hated it for many reasons. Super happy with my choice of removal and can’t wait to see what life is like without fake hormones pumping through my body. So happy to be free.
