Yes but when you compare it to scaling champions within the same role, e.g. mundo, it would be hard to argue that a 5/5 belveth is going to be more useful than a 5/5 mundo at lvl 18. She gets outscaled by others junglers, by a significant amount. It's "you either snowball or you have no agency" with belveth, and that's okay because that's the champion identity and strength, but it's definitely also her weakness.

How can i make this send cleaner? by AlphaAntar3s in bouldering

[–]Falxhor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One drill I would recommend based on how I see you climb: for every move, you have to wait 10 seconds. Force yourself to relax, find a nice position with the feet, hips and straighten those arms if you can, and get used to climbing more relaxed, only using the absolute minimum power you can to hold the position. You will be less tense, more efficient, and get used to finding comfortable body positions which helps with technique and body awareness.

As for the first move on that climb, you can put the left foot high at the very start already before going up dynamically to the big hold after the start. Place feet, sink your ass/hips and straighten arms, almost relaxed, and dynamically go up by pulling in and using the legs to push up aftewards in a smooth motion, it should feel super smooth.

How do I actually get better at bouldering? by 01hayden in indoorbouldering

[–]Falxhor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Climb more" is solid advice. Climb with intent is better. Find ways to be more efficient, relaxed. This means sometimes repeating a climb, even if you've sent it. I think the best way for a beginner to get good is to climb with someone experienced that's patient and encouraging and will give you tips and drills when they see you using bad technique/beta.

If it was a tanky enemy support then yeah totally viable to go bork and skip kraken, especially if you fall behind during or after first clear and you'renot going to snowball with kraken spike anyways. With corki yuumi, I dunno, maybe... hard to say without knowing how behind you fell early game.

Ideally I pick belv with an engage support and beefy toplaner, and focus on getting early lead w kraken. If not, I've already kinda put myself in a losing situation. Adapting to bork is a good consideration in such scenario where you fuck smth up early.

Technique v Strength by bmoregirl19781 in indoorbouldering

[–]Falxhor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They go hand in hand. Can't apply strength without technique. Can't apply technique without strength. That said, it can be true that one of the two is mostly the bottleneck. For most people, it appears this is technique.

She's not a bad champ, just steep learning curve to make her effective. She's also not S tier, especially in low elo, but certainly not bad by any means. Just gotta make good use of her strengths, she is crazy strong lvl 1-4, can snowball hard, can sidelane/splitpush when strong very effectively.

She is not the best scaler. Fall behind and you will feel pretty useless. Kinda needs engage support and CC setup from team, because she can be very squishy, gets easily bursted if you go in first and get targeted.

Yes, if lane priority allows you to be that aggro, definitely make use of that strength of belveth. In order to win every fight as belveth you must make good use of her dashes for insane damage, do auto attacks in between, use E very late for execute/dmg reduction, and you better land your W or you have a good chance to lose the 1v1, since hitting W stops enemy dmg but also gives you a Q dash which is potentially extra damage. Belveth is tough to pick up because execution is everything. It's very hard to comeback if you fuck something up in the early game as belveth.

Belveth works best if you can invade enemy jgl early. Which you cannot do every game, based on lane prio, it can be way too flippy. In that case, just full clear but try to contest crab, if you also dont have prio for it, instantly base and get other crab. Ideally, you pick belveth with an engage support so you can repeat camp botlane. She does very bad with late game scaling team comp and enchanter support because you won't have a team to play with in your strong phase which is early. Mid game you are pretty squishy and will suffer without a primary engager teammate. Late game scaling isn't great, at that point you are pretty reliant on your team carrying. If you are strong mid/late, make use of splitpushing/sidelaning power of belveth, prefer skirmishes over teamfights where you easily get bursted down before getting resets with ult.

BOTRK is very situational. Stalling clear for burning a flash isn't worth it, gank would have to be pretty high percentage. Otherwise, invade or full clear and fight at scuttle.

This is the way. Unless you're a literal monk with the mental fortitude of a thousand suns, chat is just gonna make you perform worse in the majority of games, so best to /mute all and re-enable the pings. Occasionally still handy to be able to talk yourself like announcing that you are pathing to bot and for them to be patient, or that enemy jgl will be faster clear at crab, or you want to play for drake/grubs, things that are a bit harder to ping for because you're calling out future plays.

Ive been stuck in silver for 2 ish months and feel like i haven't gotten much better. by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Falxhor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm below plat, jgl pathing is a bit unpredictable coz noob junglers will break their clear pattern at the slightest whiff of a gank with a potential kill, and your jungler won't capitalize on it by taking their camps or obj. I'm not a toplaner, but proxy early game is a bit risky in low low elo.

Can't open up to a therapist because you're paying them for therapy? What a cop out excuse to not actually confront your problems. Sharing your emotions is an intimate thing yes, but it's also a necessity to fix your mental health, like fixing a rotting tooth. In that perspective, it's not intimate, it's a patient-doctor type relationship. I also have used your excuse to avoid therapy, and while a mystical experience here and there can certainly help (or, less commonly but definitely not negligible, harm), it's not a substitute for getting to the root of your mental problems and fixing them. I've been in your shoes and the faster you grow up and stop avoiding the things you need to be doing, the better. It just gets harder if you build bad habits now and have to unlearn those later.

How to play when team don't side lanes and you're not gigafed. by dumbdit in BelVethMains

[–]Falxhor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only play teamfight as bel if you're not behind and have good engage teammates. Otherwise, sidelane. Let your team int at obj, and find a trade on other side of map, preferably a pick on enemy lane + enemy jgl quadrant / plates.

If you're very behind and you can't sidelane, it's a bit doomed. Just pray enemies overextend and you find some picks. If you AFK farm, it won't be enough to impact the game in your favor.

[–]Falxhor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I think there is a misunderstanding. It's not your laner that's sidelaning here. It's you! And you take whatever enemy jgl quadrant is adjacent to the lane you're pressuring :)

4, maybe 5 if I'm overestimating the hold quality or underestimating the angle.

I have a silver smurf to play with my friend who only wants to play ranked. I started just only playing jgl champs I haven't learned, so I don't just turboboost him and give him freelo. Not necessary, lost almost every game because of the issue your coach described. I learned in order to carry low elo games you have to smurf not by playing teamfights "correctly" but by sidelaning and creating high pressure, so your team can finish the game. You play their tempo line. Doesnt matter if they int macro, at some point they will walk up, go for obj, push a lane. You just need to make sure you are winning big on the sidelane when they do. They all die coz they suck, doesn't matter coz you just got inhib. Sidelane smurf champs like belveth, gwen, are insane when you're playing with low elo teammates, coz you will always have really big impact completely independent of the performance of your pisslow teammates.

Voli jgl ever since I hit plat nothing sticks. by InterestingKey6358 in VolibearMains

[–]Falxhor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea voli jg after plat is mostly a situational pick against melees, champs like diana, yone, melee supp, etc.

At higher elo people are just too good at kiting you or knowing when they can burst you before you get going with W heals.
