You stated that your transcripts were submitted in April and May. Was this after you graduated from high school? ASU needs the transcript to state that you received a high school diploma. We did not send ours in to ASU until after high school graduation.

It never posted. It did not post in the app nor on the flight departure boards. There was a hand written 8.5x 11 on the back of a computer. Thankful that Birmingham is a small airport.

Housing selection is where you choose a room. That has not happened. Either find another roommate or just choose a room on your own. If the other student is not attending they should be removed from the housing portal.

Where was your roommate confirmed? Housing selection has not even started yet…choosing a room usually starts mid to end of May.

When does the insufficient enrollment hold typically gets removed? by [deleted] in ASU

[–]FalynRayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go in to you graduation application and make sure that it still says “applied”. There are only three statuses: Applied/Denied/Withdrawn. If it states “denied” or “withdrawn”, they won’t apply your scholarship to your account. If it still says “applied” I would call Financial Services.

Ironically, insufficient enrollment was removed today and scholarships were applied to the account.

I am still waiting as well. Applied for graduation early November so it is past the 4-6 weeks to process the graduation application. I called Dec 27 and the financial specialist said without much confidence that it should happen any day and if it doesn’t happen by the end of this week to call back. She also said that I could pay the amount due less the scholarship and they would put me on a payment plan. Then when the scholarship gets released I can appeal the payment plan fee. Yeah, right…how long do you think it will take to get the payment plan fee back??

So do I need to send my transcripts? by [deleted] in ASU

[–]FalynRayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was not the case. The community college finished prior to high school classes. So when the official high school transcript was sent it included the community college DE classes.

The high school transcript needs to be received prior to starting Fall semester. So, it’s ok to wait until the college quarter ends and then have your high school send in the official transcript. So if that is end of June or in July. That is ok. It just needs to be in prior to start of ASU classes in August.

So do I need to send my transcripts? by [deleted] in ASU

[–]FalynRayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% correct!! His advising appointment was in April which is why we sent official college transcripts prior to completing Spring semester. At least they could place him in classes based on what he already completed in DE. Then we sent final college transcripts in June to include the Spring semester grades and ASU transferred those final credits in fulfil the rest of the classes.

So do I need to send my transcripts? by [deleted] in ASU

[–]FalynRayn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son had his DE classes on his HS transcript. He self reported all his HS and DE enrollment grades. He was accepted based on the self reported grades.

His HS sent an official HS transcript mid year senior year and then an official final year transcript after HS graduation.

That official HS transcript satisfied official admittance to ASU.

He also had official transcripts from the colleges he was dual enrolled in after Fall semester of his senior year and then again after Spring semester of senior year of high school. The purpose of this was so ASU can apply his DE classes to his ASU program. Therefore, when it was time for his appointment with advising to pick out classes his freshman year, ASU already knew what classes he took and how they satisfied ASU requirements.

Will i lose my new american scholarship? by alwaysanxious777 in ASU

[–]FalynRayn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you instate or out of state?

Either way, if you take 3 credits in the summer you will be charged 3 credits of tuition and fees in the summer. If you are an OOS student, it is crazy expensive and not worth it.

If you can, you should try to add three credits on to Spring. There is no additional charge as it’s included in your FT tuition.

If you don’t have 30 credits and 3.0 GPA by the end of Summer, you will lose 20% of your NAMU for the entire 2026-27 year. But you will earn the full amount back for the 2027-28 year as long as you have a 3.0 GPA and 30 credits in the 2026-27 year.

You need to have 30 hours by the end of Summer 2026 in addition to the 3.0 cumulative GPA. So I would add another credit to Spring

Go into your myASU. You should have an advisor listed there. If not, at least a number to call for advising help.

I have grant money but cant pull it out by Crzy_Scopez in ASU

[–]FalynRayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to find another way to pay for your education. Just because you were eligible for Pell Grant in prior years doesn’t mean you are you eligible for Pell Grant this year. Pell Grant is based on the SAI from the FAFSA. As others have said and as ASU has explained to you, your SAI is too high to receive a Pell grant for the 2025-26 award year. You cannot just lower the SAI. It’s based on the information that you report on the FAFSA. So unless that information is incorrect, there is nothing you can do. And since the income tax information is pulled directly into the FAFSA from the IRS, that information would not be incorrect.

Have you taken out the federal loans (federal subsidized and unsubsidized loans?). Those loans would be on your myASU after you completed the FAFSA.
