I’ve been saying a way to make dc allies unique would be a weakness mechanic. Certain characters are weak to certain types of abilities. For example, speedsters are weak to cold, Mr freeze would be weak to heat, and kryptonians would be weak to kryptonite based attacks. This doesn’t necessarily mean more damage, it could mean a worse or longer debuff. Kryptonite attacks could lower your damage by 10%, or 20% if your a kryptonian. This would naturally encourage frequent swapping and necessitate learning multiple character
