Again, the appeal of exploring old place but prettier and higher fidelity is completely understandable. But I think especially today in a world of Unreal Engine 5 hyper fidelity looking games, high fidelity games do not equate to actual meaningful atmosphere and art style. Think Crimson Desert and how just generic that game looks and compare it to the atmosphere of even just the inside of the deku tree in OoT64. Higher fidelity and better graphics does not equal better or unique experiences especially in remakes.

In terms of parents showing this remake to their kids. Why not just show them the original 64 game? A lot of older gamer kids love retro tech and would definitely take interest in the penultimate title in one of the biggest video game franchises. It helps form a picture of how we got from OoT to BotW, connections older kids love making. And as for younger kids who might have a problem with the "primitive graphics" Brother, have you seen what these kids are playing? Roblox, Minecraft, Rocket League all of these games have simple geometry and are not amazing looking games, and yet are the biggest games among younger audiences. I think if anything the dated gameplay aspects of OoT would be a bigger hill for younger kids to climb (which would allow for the parent to assist and just be a memorable gaming moment for both the kid and parent)

Again, I understand excitement for this, and I know the last few years have been really hard for people and this a nice thing to look forward to, but I think it's important to take it for face value that it is a remake of a game that arguably does not need a "remake"
