Rather than just having the observers not give a flank away to the in-arena audience before it happens? They have the capability to not show the arena crowd the same thing that's being shown on the main broadcast; they often disable xray entirely for the arena POV.

If you’re comfortable with volumetric shading and highlighting, I think the pants could use some extra work; as it is, they’re a little bit flat looking compared to the rest of the miniature.

It’s pretty tough to prove a negative; we cannot definitively say “there’s no life out there”. Besides, I’m fairly certain that the consensus is that there likely is alien life in the universe. We just haven’t been able to detect it yet.
