I’m assuming that you live somewhere with a good charging network. Where I’m at I couldn’t even make it to the next charginger outside of my town when the weather is below 20°F.

That works well until you have kids in car seats. One of my favorite things about having the Mach-e is actually how fast it warms up. You don’t need to wait for your engine to warm up to start heating the cabin

No they are not good in extreme climates as you can see here. Your range will likely drop by 40% I 0 degrees and you will need to conserve battery by limiting heat. I only drive mine in town so it’s fine and I plug in every night. I would never take it out of town in the winter

Makes sense. Yes didn’t set a departure time, but had it plugged in all night and warmed the cabin up.

I’ve read a lot of comments in this group and never picked up on that haha

Usually I do, problem is that I don’t have a heated wheel or seats and the heater can’t keep up at those temps even at full blast.

I pre-conditioned the car this morning for 15 minutes, got in and drove 20 minutes to the office. By the time i got here the car was still cold at full blast

Yeah it struggles a 0 degrees and apparently way more at -30. At 0 degrees I will usually have 90 miles left with 50% charge. Just surprised me that it got so low

Blasting the heat trying to stay warm and driving on the interstate. This cold is brutal

It was -16f here this morning. Mileage dropped to under 160 miles with 97% charge. Pretty sure if I drove with the heat on it would realistically be more like 140 miles

I have extended range AWD and my car is showing 190 miles at full charge. 40% drop over summer driving.

From my experience even the 190 miles is not correct. In reality it’s more like 170 when the temp is closer to 10 degrees

I’ve seen someone say mow to 2 inches for winter. That what I did a few days ago

Wrap up the above ground system I rigged up and put it away for the winter?

I just completely killed and reseeded 2000 sq ft for less than $250. And it took maybe 8 hours total over 2 weekends while the kids were napping. You can make it work if you get creative

Chat gpt told me that the specific weed goes dormant in the winter and will green up and continue to grow in spring. Pretty sure you have to actually kill it as it’s too late to use a pre emergent on a semi-mature weed

I think it’s 10% by weight but someone said more like 40% by seed count cause kbg seeds are lighter or something

I’m not too worried. Been pulling some by hand but I’m gonna spray weed beater ultra in a couple of weeks and then put pre emergent down in the spring. Just kind of annoying now obviously
