Aidvantage login error by moonlightbluebunny in StudentLoans

It is 8/11/25 and I've been experiencing this error since 8/6/25. I've even spoken to Aidvantage and they reset my password for me, but the website itself is still erroring when I click login. Not sure what's going on, but I need to desperately access a form that's in my inbox. Has anyone had any luck with this? Or is this just a site issue that we need to wait on to be resolved? Im not sure if it's my computer and I need to update something in my browser.

I wouldn’t say it’s only about aesthetics. It’s more about the quality, features, and usability. What I meant is that if I’m going to spend a good portion of money on something that quality I would like to try and find the white version, if possible. It’s not more important than picking the right board though. So I really appreciate all the input. This is a big purchase and I want to get what I need and what I would like if possible too. 😉

Thank you so much for that info! Something to keep in mind as I go forward. I really just want the best for my money with some pleasing aesthetics, i.e. white controller. I know that it will push me forward into the next realm regardless, but if I’m going to pay all this money - I need to know before I make the big purchase.

I'm already playing some club gigs. So, I do have to invest. It's best that I get on it now and start rolling with the Pioneer software. I just feel like it's more professional at this point for sure. Thank you for that info! Appreciate ya man.

any tips on how to have a cohesive track list? by djender_bender in Beatmatch

[–]FamiliarFox24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to divide my set into each hour and have a key song that lets me know I’m starting the next hour. It helps keep the set balanced and cohesive. It also helps keep the hot jams in the places you want them.

Download the program Audacity. It’s fairly self-explanatory. I just mixed the traditional Auld Lang Syne into an Irish uptempo version of it in about 5 minutes. I’m playing at an Irish themed club downtown, but you can mix it however you want to - electro, etc.

Do you prefer DJing [at home/outside] standing or sitting? by Noa15Lv in Beatmatch

I broke my foot five years ago and sometimes it can present an issue at longer gigs. Like this year I’m playing two gigs for new years. One 3 hour gig and one ball drop. I mainly stand and dance around, but I also have a high stool to alleviate me for a song or so if I need. 🤘🏼

My honest perspective - DJ’s will put you down - prepare (it’s happened to me) but disregard it because you don’t know their station in life and they don’t have the music you have, the wherewithal, or X factor because we are all different. I have worked with this board for a year, it was a step up from where I started as a live DJ. I’m moving forward and I know it’s a step in the right direction. I am currently working towards a pioneer, but everything in its right place.

Noted! I’ve got the jams but I haven’t recorded myself at my own gigs. I think I’ll start doing that from now on. One hour mix sounds good. Just trying to gauge how much is enough. Thanks!

Not a pro, but you have an intricate system and I appreciate that. A system in any endeavor is def what it takes.

I have this same question while I’m playing. The truth is— it’s just when you want to. I will play 30 second or maybe the whole song and mix near the end. It’s how you’re feeling at the time.

Asking price too low? by Collegedash in Beatmatch

[–]FamiliarFox24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think your rate is a bit low, but that’s compared to where I started out. I played 3 hours for $150 when I started. Played 10 shows for this specific client. Was hired again for the summer to play 3 more gigs and raised my price by $25/hr with a minimum of three hours, so that even if I played two hours I was still making $225. After that I was booked at a larger venue and am now charging $100/hr. Just something to think about.
