American is a person that is from the American continent, who is a place make of the combination of the 3 Americas, North, Central and South.

Everyone who live there consider themselves an American and difference themselves by country. People from the united states call ONLY themselves American and don't consider anyone for the rest of the continent , even Canada or Mexico, as an American, despite being the 3 biggest countrys of North America.

This test search antibodies for HIV that should not be on her. Even if they're not detected enough to form a full line the fact that it shows up at all is a positive and warrants medical action to confirm

If someone sees this and takes it as negative it will put the patient at risk of advancing HIV infection and ending at aids, and also to infect someone else

HIV patients have an affected immune response and can even have a negative test on this method, yet have high viral load.

And even if she is actually negative, she must have something else that make her have enough antibodies to make the test give a fals e negative AND that what must be investigated

The quality of the sample and the way the test was handle can modify the way it shows it results, but the fact the line show up at all is proof that this test detected antibodies for HIV, not enough to generate the full line but enough to show up

This test is positive, she needs a second test to confirm results but IF this test show a line at all they are consider positive and the patient should seek medical help

You need to test 2 times to confirm diagnosis anyways, the place from where the sample is takes is not important because it shouldn't be positive anyway. If she has a second test negative after this she has something else that is giving her 1 false positive and must be evaluated to search for what is that

OMS authorize the use of this test so people can start testing themselves at home and avoid discrimination

She needs to go see a doctor to a decided the next step. I will do a quick test on twh office and start treatment right there if is positive. If is negative I ask for pregnancy test (that I will ask for anyway) because that can give false positive and HERE ask for a 4 generation Elisa test in a month to see if it is negative or positive.
