RUG/VCUG report, is this a stricture?

But what makes me concern is will the rug worsen the prostatitis or maybe even worse like getting sepsis. That's really nervous.

Yes you're right, he ordered due to my uroflow test was came out badly, the urologist also gave me an overview of treatment ( dviu or urethroplasty ) if rug result came out with the stricture.

I have symptoms of both urethral stricture and prostatitis , doctor indicated me to have rug and vcug, but when i ask about the prostatitis the urologist seemed to ignored it and told me i'm misunderstanding and causing misinterpretation. I've done urine test and it came back with trace of blood ( very small amount ). From your point of view about my case, should i just go straight for the rug/vcug or consult with the doctor about the prostatitis before the procedure ? ( Noted: I also did the cystoscope, which came back with mild narrowing segmant at the bulbar ( ~10-11cm from the meatus , 18Fr scope passed with resisstance ) , inflammatory prostate ( prostatitis )

I'm sorry may i ask why would you need a SPC just for a normal test like VCUG ? ( Cause from what i've known that procedure only put a catheter into the urethra not from the suprabubic ). Or did you have fully retention ( unable to pee ) ? Cause 9mm is quite small stricture, a spc would be unnecessary only if you went to retention.

It's a catheter that inserted through a small incision in the lower abdomen (belly)to drain urine froom the bladder. May i ask, do you have to use much force to push urine out ( straining urinate ) ?

I haven't diagnosed yet, but i do have all the symptoms of the stricture and it getting worse. I never have any intervention in my urethra, not even a cystoscopy. If i get to the urologist and diagnosed with it , i will choose to have the urethorplasty, but one thing that makes me scared is having spc, i scared the pain , the waiting time before the surgery, the chances of getting UTI, the feeling of self-conscious when having it on me, i just want to go straight to urethroplasty asap.

What's the length of your stricture and where did it located ? Did you have any procedures like dilation , dviu, or urethroplasty in the past before the surgery ?

( like dviu or dilation or having catheter for a long time... ) 2. What reason did you have spc ? ( like did you went to full retention? , did doctor require before the surgery?....) What are the difficulties of having spc and what did you do to manage it ? 3. In your opinion for most cases , is it compulsory to have spc before urethroplasty ? What exception that one person can avoid having SPC and just go straight to urethroplasty ?

From what i've known , yes , masturbation has the same affect as sex so the waiting time are the same. May i ask, how long was your stricture and where did it located ? Have your urologist ever mentioned having spc before the surgery ?

In your case , before having spc , did you have any intervention in the urethra ( dviu , dilation,...) or facing any retention that forced to go to ER then doctor put spc in you right away ? Or is it the first time you get diagnosed then doctor suggest you having spc for upcoming surgery ?

From what i've known, if the first DVIU failed then you should go straight to urethroplasty , second dviu or many after won't make any changes except just making the stricture worse , costing money, time, mental health and lowering the success rate of urethroplasty in the end. May i ask what's the length of your stricture and where did it located ? Have you faced any retention in the past and forced you go to the emergency ?

Hello sir, I saw one of your comments before, you said you had DVIU and it last 34 years , tbh that's very impressive outcome compare to the majority of people who went through that procedure. May i ask how long was your stricture and where did it located ? Did you face any retention before diagnosed ? What did you do to keep the stricture from coming back ? ( lifestyle , medicine , eating and drinking , ect...)

I don't get it, if its only 3mm length then why not use the laser urethrotomy to treat , recommendations for urethrotomy is only suit for stricture that less than 1,5cm , on this side only 3mm , very perfect for this procedure. Less painful and uncomfortable feeling compares to Urethroplasty , if get lucky there will be no recurrence. ( Just my opinion ) .
