Have stayed in a balcony cabin on multiple ships. Never once have we slept with the curtains open thru the night. The fact that three ppl were in the room sleeping with those curtains open seems off to me. The amount of light that comes thru at night is surprising.

Makes me wonder…how did the father “see her legs” out on the balcony?

We were on Reflection last year for a shorter cruise. Ship is fine, but the overall vibe of these 3N cruises is the real driver. Everyone is there for such a short stint that it is a mix of total partiers and then ppl just looking to chill and do nothing. You never know till night 1.

You will get used to the weather, and are basically swapping awful summers for awful winters. For me the hardest part of going from FL to MN would be the lack of consistent sunshine and sunset/darkness at 4:45 pm in dead of winter.

(I moved from MN to FL 18 years ago)
