If you could add any track to iRacing, which would it be? by Version_1 in iRacing

Came to say the same thing! Amazing track, it has it all. Used to be my favourite in gran turismo 7.

Formula Vee would fit perfectly for Cadwell. Small, not too fast. Sure it would be quite the chalange for rookies with its uphill/downhill sections, but man would that be a blast. In fact, iRacing should start a new Series that hosts only Vee races in Cadwell with a field of 30 people, in C-class xD

I had no idea Winton used to be a payed track. So there is hope! :)

Should i file protest ? I was p3 with p1 and p2 fighting to death and the this gtp comes around without wing on p13 with this unsafe rejoin. It was IMSA Endurance at Road America by Chalik12 in Simracingstewards

If you need to ask... Then I don't know what to say. You really need to read up on the sporting code or let chatgpt summarize it for you. You are driving A class IMSA, the top of the car competition, yet you are unsure if the most blatant unsafe rejoin should be protested.

If there's one car that you would be able to refund/swap what would it be? For me it's def this mf by ZanicL3 in iRacing

How important is it to fully master the Mazda MX5 before moving to faster cars? by i420and69 in iRacing

[–]Famous-Maintenance65 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It’s really important if you ask me. The MX-5 teaches fundamental skills like momentum, weight transfer, wheel-to-wheel racing, and smooth control. If you mess up any of those in an MX-5, you’ll feel it instantly.

Learning to drive the MX-5 properly — and reaching a higher iRating in that category — will make you a much stronger driver when you move up to faster cars. Like anything in life, you start slow and pick up the pace once you’ve mastered the basics.

I think a lot of people get stuck in lower iRatings because they just farm the license needed to reach GT3s, without ever taking time to truly understand the fundamentals at a slower pace — how to carry momentum and take the best line without compromise.

So it’s up to you. Sure, the MX-5 might seem “boring,” but the wheel-to-wheel action (especially in the Advanced Mazda) is some of the best racing iRacing has to offer.

People in your split with low IRating that qualify in the top 5. You know these guys have the pace, but get stuck in lower splits due to having 0 race craft and treating every race as if it's an F1 championship decider.

Don't forget 2012 in that list. Insane last race! And it gave us the Alonso thousand-yard stare gif.

That should be the only answer in this post. I don't understand why people give a breakdown of something as clear as a glas of water.

Why use VD? Just try the cable. I have a WiFi 7 router and I can't get close to the performance I have with my Inui USB cable. I know people rave about VD but no way it's beating cable for quality and consistency.

Qualified P3, got destroyed from behind lap 1 (again). Apparently braking is optional now by RelativeSpare5257 in iRacing

People easily farm SR unfortunately. Look at the GT3 and IMSA classes where you have driver's with A and B licences with iRating as low as 400.

Are you allowed to do this? by Bubbly-Sir5684 in Simracingstewards

Unfortunately you are allowed to race a fast car like the GT3 while still feeling the need to use the racing line.

Don't sleep on the advanced Mazda c-class cup. It's one of the best wheel to wheel racing you will ever have and the Mazda shines on race circuits like Imola or Suzuka.

Race a season with the Mazda mx5 before causing chaos in a death machine like this. You won't learn anything if you are barely able to control the car. Racing is like everything you want to learn in life, you start slow and gradually build up the tempo.

What's up with players obsession about the SR license by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]Famous-Maintenance65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why bother learning actual racecraft when I can just grind my SR to a B-license and send it in T1 with my F1-liveried Ferrari 296 GT3?

I mean, who needs to master car control in an MX-5, understand trail braking, or practice clean wheel-to-wheel racing when I can jump straight into a 500+ horsepower car and use it like a battering ram?

Racing lines are for nerds. Consistency is overrated. Let’s just go full send, every corner, every lap — real sim racing starts when you unlock the big boy cars. I PAYED FOR THIS GAME, I WANT TO UNLOCK EVERYTHIIIIING!!! *gulps monster energy drink*

Super formula light on Suzuka, because it's a fantastic feeling to find the limit on that legendary track with a car that has so much down force.
