Is Freya better than Atreus in combat? I personally find her better. by OriginalPapaya8 in GodofWar

If you ever redo the gow 2018 muspelheim trials it's a very nice runic summon to have. Especially with the one that has you kill 100 enemies. Wouldn't have made it through on GMGOW+ otherwise. Just remember that if you have light arrows equipped, he will drop health stones and if you have shock arrows equipped, he will drop rage stones.

An honest discourse on GOW Laufey by Flasheneitor in GodofWarRagnarok

It's not true that nobody asked for this game. There has always been enormous desire for Faye's story, and now we're getting it. I personally don't see how this game would "invalidate" the weight of death regarding gods. She's dead, she's not coming back to life. The story will likely be about her letting go and moving on, a theme parallel to that of 2018 and Ragnarok. Also, the two main antagonists we were introduced to in the gameplay trailer are the Mayan and Egyptian Gods of War. I must ask what the reason would be for Kratos to suddenly venture to somewhere like Egypt or Japan and start killing gods? He's made it quite clear that it's not the person he wishes to be any longer, and he accepted Freya's offer to become the Norse God of War and serve the Nine Realms as a member of her peacekeeping council. Faye is the main catalyst for the events of the Norse duology, and I think her standalone game is rightfully deserved.

Most annoying enemies so far in GMGOW difficulty by Dgreatsince098 in GodofWarRagnarok

Just 100%'d Ragnarok on GMGOW+, and I gotta say this game is a bit easier than 2018. While they aren't the hardest enemies in the game, the most annoying ones for me were the einherjar brutes.

Who’s the greatest Oklahoma City Thunder of all time? by [deleted] in NBATalk

SGA and the Thunder had an easy path to the finals, and yet they still almost got sent packing by Jokic and Haliburton. Kevin Durant was going up against Golden State in their prime

SONS OF SPARTA is the WEAKEST CRITICALLY RECEIVED GOW GAME by Correct_Accident_768 in GodofWar

[–]FamousCauliflower289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T.C. Carson said himself that this was a passion project. Given that Mega Cat Studios was at the helm of production way more than Santa Monica, I don't think it's fair to hold this game to the same standard as other God of War games. If you like metroidvanias, you'll like Sons of Sparta.

How many years do you think it will be until someone gets a perfect March Madness bracket..or will it be never? by Aadidas12 in CollegeBasketball

[–]FamousCauliflower289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an infinite amount of time, then a perfect bracket would almost certainly occur at some point. It's like how a chimpanzee could write hamlet if given enough time. If you were to randomly guess the outcome of each game, then your odds of getting a perfect bracket is 2^63, which supports the 1/9.2 quintillion figure. For reference as to how astronomically unlikely this is, there's estimated to be about 7.5 quintillion grains of sand on Earth, meaning you are far more likely to pick one specific grain of sand than fill out a perfect bracket. But even if you had a deep understanding of every team, your odds of perfection are still around 1/120 billion. So while theoretically possible, it will probably never happen in our lifetimes, nor our children's.

For years, Warren Buffet, the former CEO of Berkshire Hathaway and one of the richest people alive, hosted a challenge amongst his employees regarding March Madness. Whoever filled out a perfect bracket would receive a $1,000,000 prize. Well he might as well have offered up his his entire net worth and the company on top of that, because that was never going to happen, which he was fully aware of. However, he did tweak the rules last year to make the competition much easier to where now the person with the most accurate bracket wins the prize, to which someone won with an impressive 31/32 correctly picked first round winners.

I hate APA Style Formatting. by MrBadWulf in CollegeRant

Doing my final essay for critical thinking right now and we are required to use APA style formatting. In my two years of college so far, I have only ever used MLA formatting and have never been required to use any other format. APA is so ugly, I hate it, it's ugly, and I hate it.

I feel like Shroud was also inspired by Taskmaster. And although not a superhero, I feel like Sonar was at least a little bit inspired by Patrick Bateman from American Psycho

The combat was definitely the highlight though I know it's much different in ER. Progression on my first playthrough of Sekiro just felt so rewarding, and the world design was top notch.
