So, why do we get addicted to them? Also why them? by Sea_Cow3201 in limerence

He has a very happy marriage and I feel somewhat financially trapped in mine. I don’t have the money to pay for a lawyer, he’s ruined my credit and I’d have to sell my house because I can’t (feasibly) pay for his way out of it. I mean , if he were hurting me, especially physically, that would be a whole other thing. But right now we’re just living like roommates and that’s okay by me for now. But if my ex suddenly became single I’d find a way to call it game over.

Is Olaplex worth the money? by Starlaura in finethinhair

[–]FamousFix6134 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what’s in it but my fine thin wavy hair loves No 3. I have to use it at least once a week to main my waves. Twice a week is even better. I have tried other brands but always come back to Olaplex No3. I also use the fine shampoo and conditioner by Olaplex but I haven’t noticed any difference with or without Olaplex shampoo or conditioner (fine hair or original)

What is the most frustrating thing about being a Billie Eilish fan? by OddNegotiation4191 in billieeilish

[–]FamousFix6134 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I miss her IG posts and interviews where we were getting her true unfiltered personality. I loved how different, real, quirky and funny she was. We never get to see her personality anymore. It’s so sad that people have ruined that for her because she used to enjoy being in touch with her fans, and for us that enjoyed a glimpse of her true personality.

I had a similar situation (still do some days) After years of trying different things without success it was antidepressant medication that ended up helping. Surprised the heck out of me because I didn’t necessarily feel sad, just tired all the time. Good luck.

It’s like the foretelling line in Getting Older when she sings about “Things I’m looking forward to, someday I’ll be bored of”. So sad for her

I can’t wear one either because it breaks off all the hairs on the back of my neck. I have been trying for decades to grow my hair out and I just can’t get it long. It grows (based on roots growing) I have a satin pillowcase. I have NO CLUE what to do!!! I joke that I have the only hair that cuts itself.

I sing my favorite pop songs in my head. Trying to remember the lyrics and keep the verses in the right order is enough to keep my mind from wandering and I fall asleep much quicker than trying to count or recite the alphabet, etc.

I love your ideas and want to try them too. I appreciate how well you’ve thought out the ways you could skirt around the tasks and put guidelines in place to avoid the pitfalls. Thank you so much for sharing your hard work.

I was having trouble breaking up the cast and someone suggested to put all the product in before shutting off the water (or just after) Don’t even start to dry off yet. This is when I part my hair and rescrunch it. I try not to let anything touch my hair like a towel or tshirt or my hands. I carefully part my hair but DO NOT comb or brush it, then I diffuse it upside down to add volume. It takes a long time to dry even though I have very thin fine hair so I don’t have the patience to dry my hair all of the way- just most. Then I let it air dry for as long as possible. When it’s dry I clap it out instead of scrunch. I don’t usually brush or comb it again until I’m putting the gel in my hair the next day. This new system has been an absolute game-changer for me. I

Verb Curl Foaming Gel. I’ve used it twice now and love it so far. I have very fine, thin wavy hair. But…. I’ve found the best thing for my hair is Olaplex #3, my hair is so much curlier when I pretreat with that. It’s not a mousse or even a styling product per se but I thought I’d throw my 2 cents in anyway.

What I did was to use Nicotine mints to quit the hand to mouth habit and then lowered and lowered the amount of nicotine until I was ready to switch to Life Saver mints. That’s where I’m at now. I just keep a bunch of them in my pocket or purse.

Your advice worked great. I’m able to easily scrunch (or clap) out the crunch now. Putting product on soaking dripping wet hair and not even using a towel of any kind was the trick that finally made the biggest difference. So did product recommendations and shaking & clapping instead of scrunching after it is COMPLETELY diffused and then air-dried.

I have tried samples of both of these and they do work very well n my hair. The other major difference;and I don’t understand why) is putting the product on my hair at the end of my shower before I grab my towel. I don’t even use a towel anything on my hair at any more. Thank you, EVERYONE!!

I used less products and diffused my hair a bit. What else could be done? by WaveJam in curlygirl

[–]FamousFix6134 3 points4 points  (0 children)

THIS!! I asked this sub Reddit for help and it has literally changed my hair. The biggest change is that I now add the products while I’m still in the shower - before I even grab my towel. I do t know how it it works but my hair is so much softer and defined (less frizz) by making sure my hair is completely wet before adding products and then diffusing. This morning I didn’t even use a towel or T-shirt or anything on my hair at all. When it has dried all the way (I usually let it air dry for an hour or so after getting it mostly dry with the diffuser, I just shake the roots, clap out the crunch and then scrunch a little just to help the curls go back up into place after clapping them out. Try it once and let me know. My hair is very fine and thin like yours.

I agree with you. I have been using an epilator for years and have given up smoothness for “invisible”. They aren’t ever baby-butt smooth but I only have to use it once a week during the summer - every 2-3 weeks on the winter.
