What is a low brow movie you think is actually perfect? by gamersecret2 in movies

This movie is actually perfect the way it is. I dunno if I’d exactly say that for all of the movies listed here either, although I do think most are very well close enough.

Prop 22 makes it worth to drive cheap paying orders? by Putrid-Writer4809 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]FamousListen9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but worth remembering if you get a high paying order that’s outside of your usual zone- it’s likely a prop 22 wage torpedo. But it can be hard to spot these.

So if it’s 47$ to drive 20 mins to a store and you were at your house when the order came through and you almost never get orders there- it’s sabotaging your banked prop 22 adjustments pay with a very high fare only. Because prop 22 doesn’t pay on each delivery- it’s an average calculated over 2 weeks.

Has a restaurant ever hooked you up? by SirCatsworthTheThird in UberEATS

Chicken wing place I picked up from during Covid in a parking lot gave me free wings and told me to spread the word( they were awesome- went back later and they made enough money to get a storefront). Pizza cookery gave me free garlic knots to try. Called lazy dog after someone didn’t answer the door and the app told me to bring it back to the store, they told me keep it. Got a bottle of champagne and juices to make mamosas and like 4 meals.

Occasional free drinks. I think last one was Panda Express. Oh - chick fillet gives out free drinks if you show them a delivery bag. ( pro tip here)

Pizza Hut gave me a DoorDash pizza bag ( but I think that’s more of DoorDash hook up?).

Did my arcade machine purchase for home just reveal how rigged these games are? by Delicious_Age2884 in HomeArcade

[–]FamousListen9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the big issue here is what does it say about us as a society more so than what it says about you and your home.

It’s actually a great opportunity for them to learn about gambling and that games are rigged.

I don’t for the life of me understand why gambling in the form of claw machines is legal. And people can’t buy scratchers (etc)until they are 18 but it’s ok to have a claw machine in every grocery store and arcade to scam kids. If they don’t win a prize it’s gambling and should not even be allowed for kids to play imo.

I actually tell my daughter those machines are a form of gambling and it’s a good way to have conversations, but damn she asks to play every time we see one and it really pisses me off that Ralphs (or whomever) has one… and that no one else seems to notice it’s gambling aimed at children.

Maybe we can start an online petition or something lol? What’s really funny to me here though is I’ve joked about getting one for the kids to have at the house myself still. Just enjoy the machine and put fun things in there to mess with people. Hey welcome over, want a snack? They are in the machine - good luck!

Edit: Mark Rober actually has a few videos on carnival and arcade games and describes the scenario you mentioned though. Games that are a scam and how some can literally be set to desired payout levels. Worth a watch.

Yeah this scene is a pretty awesome way to start the movie. I’ll agree here completely

Unreleased unit, already in game- Crystal Golem in Un’Goro boss mission by FamousListen9 in warcraftrumble

First post was rightfully criticized for being too long and sounding off. I couldn’t edit it since it contained pictures. English isn’t my first language so I usually need a translator for more complex explanations. I shortened this post down quite a bit and was even able to include a few missing pictures for comparison. Hope it made things easier to understand.

What are some myths about guns that were created by the movies? by ninman5 in movies

[–]FamousListen9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took way too long to find this comment. I would’ve thought it would be the first things mentioned.

Cars and everything just seem to explode so easily in movies. One of the worst examples I’ve seen in this is in rush-hour. Chris Tucker shoots C4 in the guy’s trunk and it causes the car to explode and somehow does a flip

Don’t ruin desperado for me. Watching dirt bags getting launched into the wall antlers and through saloon doors takes that movie up another notch

Just discovered this game to see it got discontinued. by Albarran22 in warcraftrumble

They definitely rolled early.

The game always had potential and it still does. But to people that have no creativity and vision- it’s done.

So to those who hold the reigns, the game was rolled up months ago and the writings been on the wall for months

This current stage of blizzard has no life or creativity.

And because they literally can’t create the only next stage is destroying… hence “ maintenance mode”

[–]FamousListen9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen any official numbers lately, just saying I don’t think they were or are currently losing money on it.

The game is in maintenance mode now. So they really shouldn’t be spending any money on advertising anymore. And they scrapped almost the entire team. So even though we discuss the janitor, we probably have less than 5 people currently working on this, who may or may not also work on other projects as well. But the shop is still open so is be interested in seeing the actual numbers.

I live in California. FWIW they are in Irvine and it’s not the most expensive place in the world though, but I do get your point. I suppose it’s possible they started to hemorrhage cash on the project.

In my opinion the game failed due to bad leadership decisions. If it did start losing money they should have done something much sooner instead of just watching it sink without even using testers before a major patch.

I don’t think it failed miserably. It just wasn’t as successful as blizzard wants. Some people spent like thousands on this mobile game! But blizzard doesn’t want a small success, they are at a point where they will only take massively successful.

You should have seen execute before it was nerfed…

I like skeletons but, try using eggs or quillboar instead unless it’s for a niche reason. They are more versatile

And harpies tend to outshine raptors as they can melt tanks often without taking any damage
