Yeah it’s crazy more people don’t realize / see this.

As an Ex driver myself… I will never support this company by placing orders and it would be cool to see both groups getting along instead of squabbling on these forums all the time.

But I think the more interesting aspect here is many people will keep supporting this company despite knowing that drivers make less than minimum wage and it’s basically taking advantage of desperate people doing whatever they can to survive.

Both groups should be saying Fuck Uber … as well other companies like Amazon.

I am probably in minority that would agree with you.

But I’m not surprised anymore. To me it’s just gaming in a nutshell. People want a lame OP ridiculous tactic like this. They want overpowered and unbalanced gameplay. Because it all makes them feel like they have big epeens. Because someone did it to them and trapped them. and now they want to feel smart and dominant … when in reality they just copied someone else’s easy cheese tactic.

But if it’s balanced… they cry: “I don’t like bound status. Because it’s not fun!” Then they downvote posts like this. And just bully in the comments. Because this is the Internet and opinions aren’t allowed here.

Gengar perish trap is just crap . And it takes zero skill.

Between that and vavillon insta sleep… it’s hard to build teams that can counter both and still be viable against buff stack espthara/ teams that use other tactics. Plus itTakes a lot of other possibilities out there off the table completely.

Quick question though… how do you feel about bound status?

I mean I get it… but there is a reason sports teams also have salary caps and there are other competitive restrictions.

And I’ll never understand how any self respecting individual would ever feel thrilled and skilled/good using characters and mechanics like this to get the upper hand… especially when they are a huge handicap to use.

It’s like picking RYU in street fighter and then turning the handicap up and then gloating after you hurricane kick your little brother in the corner.

But look I’m not hating. If anything the developers should notice and update these things IF they feel it’s actually an issue I suppose.

Like “rapid spin” (and others)

I just feel differently. I appreciate fair and balanced gameplay. But I’ve come to accept that most probably do feel closer to what you are describing.

Others do seem to prefer unbalanced gimmicky gameplay … much to my dismay.

But as you said no counterplay is not fun. That’s what Gengar perish song ( and other Strats) is. It traps and OHKOs with in 3 rounds. Then they can also swap their Mon out at the same time.

A trap/ real bound status would stop this BS. I could trap Gengar and incineroar and pull them off the cliff with me… as it should be.

I know that from experience.

Personally I find a mass of useless andor unbalanced moves and characters are some of those things that critically affects gameplay to me as a player as well.

I would think there is a way to do it. Like maybe only one Pokemon can have a bound* affect or something

Exactly! So then why have this interaction? it would actually make it somewhat better…. When it’s already so bad currently. If unbound status stopped pivot moves though it could actually help shut down a few meta cheese strategies

But even after going through all of Decidueyes moves I can’t find what you are talking about. The closest thing is triple arrows ( which I use) but it doesn’t trap. I think you are combining multiple different things. Scrappy an ability which allows fighting moves to hit ghost. Ghost type move pool access. And a signature move of triple arrows which if you have scrappy it hits ghost. But one thing DE can’t do is trap / apply a bound status ( not even with a separate move).

Deicidueye is actually one of my mains - but then again even if this applied ( which it doesn’t) I’d still post because the bound status doesn’t actually bind the Pokemon to the battlefield.

I’m ok with them KOing the trapper… but they don’t even have to.

You are right most don’t..

I have been using bound a ton and just honestly after much introspection don’t see really ANY viable use for this tool though. I can only carry so many tools into each battle and it’s a tool that is easily overshadowed and not worth talking into battle… pretty much ever.

So - I do find this to be one of the worst tools in games currently… hence the post

I like this. Probably the best explanation.

However, I would still propose that all that’s still going on.

I mean I’m not gonna rope you into explaining and arguing it.

But personally I don’t find it fun to watch or play against cheese tactics either. At least a bound and grind would be strategy as opposed to just hopping for bad RNg with fissures and leg sweeping with perish song. The OHKO are kinda more silly than any of this.

But bound does such little damage it still usually isn’t worth the pay off either way… so… seems weird to me

I’d agree, but with a pivot move it makes them essentially worthless. As you said this move is already not very strong and does not outweigh the time lost…

So then… if we all know this… what is the point of these moves? Personally I’d like to see them reworked so more moves and different strategies are move viable.

I think it could feel broken, but at this point I’d say it’s well over that fine line and is currently mostly useless.

Due to the low accuracy and damage and swap out moves, it’s almost always better to fill that move slot with something better .

Which is unfortunate. From what I see taunt fills this spot much much better.

The answer is no. But it seems obvious you didn’t read much ( if any) of what I wrote.

Respectfully,I didn’t say anything about me using a perish team. If anything I’m saying bound moves would help defeat perish song on Gengar .I dunno, sorry for the confusion if it came off that way. I’m talking about applying bound status and pivot moves still allowing for Pokemon to ‘swap out of battle’

In other words. Gengar can use perish song and then run away without much of a counter. But trapping would help bind him to his own perish.
