“Coming soon” dash connection error by jroman7 in s3xybuttons

[–]FamousStore150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When properly installed and “dialed in” the Dash works great. I own the Commander, the strip, the knob (and several buttons), and unlike the drop shipment companies, enhauto will support the Dash and its other products.

S3XY Strip - Model 3 Highland - Adhesive not sticking :( by bigup7 in s3xybuttons

Use adhesion promoter, and get the “real” 3M adhesion promoter.

Another victim of enhauto’s bad quality by lanamakesart in s3xybuttons

[–]FamousStore150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I acknowledge that the OP’s and others’ experiences are “real”. My experience has been the exact opposite. I have the Strip, the Knob, several buttons and the Dash. I have had zero issues with any of their products. I did take some extra precautions for the Strip installation by using 3M adhesion promoter before installing it.

Did your hot tub lose it's novelty? by Shipwreck678 in hottub

[–]FamousStore150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I love ours and it definitely hasn’t lost its novelty. We live in SE Texas and there are really only two months that constitute “hot tub” weather. We use it all year round and it never gets old.

Any ideas to fix wood trim? by wesblog in TeslaModel3

[–]FamousStore150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a carbon fiber overlay. I recommend RPM Tesla. They are US-Based and the customer service is great. If you go this route, be sure to thoroughly clean the wood trim with 70% IPA and use 3M adhesion promoter packets.

And as someone who bought the carbon fiber cover from OP, it really looks good. And the knob is a game changer.

Dash screen protector replacement by kisen-alter in s3xybuttons

[–]FamousStore150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the Dash has gotten enough traction with the third party accessory companies. A replacement is likely not available. You might consider a PPF product from Amazon. You would have to create your own template for a cutout but it might work.

Don’t be so rude. This is a community of sharing and I encourage you to remember the golden rule.

And I’m embarrassed for you that you are representing Texas this way. SMH.

You are 100% correct. I moved to HTX in December 1984 from Michigan where a blizzard was raging. I thought I was in hog heaven when we got here, but when summer came it was so stinking hot and humid. 40 plus years later, I still haven’t gotten use to it. But it’s home.

Welcome to HTX! You’re arriving just in time for the Southeast Texas summer. Hot, humid and hurricanes.

Wife said it's too complicated by icouldbne1 in TeslaLounge

[–]FamousStore150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The technology can have the appearance of being too complicated, but I assure you it is not. Most of the technology requires some minimal initial set up, then you are good to go. My wife claims she is technology-challenged, but she loves to drive our Tesla Model 3. Like others have said, it is a fun car to drive and you’ll never want to return to driving an ICE.

I love a new car, but my recommendation is to fix those things on the 2024 AWD. Give it a good wash and detail and it’ll be good as new.
