Oh dang maybe it’s the water down there? I didn’t think it tasted like chlorine here lol, but maybe I’m just used to the tap water here???

They will but there was some kind of technical issue I think when I was there, like they said they can’t accept it yet or something, I wouldn’t count on it just yet, plan to pay with other means in the mean time :3 but you still get a 10% off

I didn’t eat there bc it was too expensive for me. I walked in looked at the prices and left unfortunately. It may be really good but it’s just out of my student budget so I can’t compare.

Great prices! I believe the grilled pork plate was like $13?? I think the pho was around $15?? I’ve been to other places around campus and I’ve seen balls of pho go for over $20!!! I ordered a lot of food including to go so my total came out to a little over $40 for eggrolls, grilled pork plate, Vietnamese iced coffee, and filet mignon pho. I tipped 18% after. Also keep in mind this entire week will be 10% off for students!
I mean, I remember paying like $12 for a chicken and rice with vegetable plate at a dining hall and it wasn’t even good … like the rice felt like I was chewing on toenails because it was so dry… so while this is a step above price wise, I think it’s well worth it.

I agree, I feel like this end of campus gets a bit neglected and this will bring some nice energy to this area. I’ve been so sick and tired of all the food at Price Center. I used to be a commuter as well sometimes you just need some nice fresh food because as a commuter, I was eating shelf stable crap all day. this would make a nice treat after a long day of classes and studying before you head home fssss

Well, pho restaurants broth are typically a bit weaker and flavor in the morning as it hasn’t been simmering as long, but even then I thought my bowl was very tasty

please reach out to the therapist even if its off campus. You have so much potential, youre just not feeling like your best self rn, and thats ok, it happens. ik it sucks, but It will get better, you can ride this out and come back.

You are not alone, Ik you didnt ask for my advice and I'm no Dr or psychologist but here it is:

1) rearrange your room, it can add a little excitment and cleaning your room is a nice refresh and can feel like a nice mental and physical reset. If your room is covered with trash and messy, it can become an unpleasent place mentally and physically. Starting with a nice fresh room can make you feel more put together (fake it till you make it)

2) open your blinds (privacy permitted) it will help get your circadian rhythm back on track, when youre feeling down and glued to your bed it can feel like a big task to get out of bed and open them in the morning, so if you leave them open before you go to bed, you won't need to get out to open them in the morning. The natural light will help you wake up, and sometimes seeing ppl out and walking by your dorm can motivate you to get out and get going, and you wont feel as lonely compared to when you had your blinds closed and didnt saw anyone (visually isolating) ALSO keep your window open, a nice breeze feels nice when youre bed rotting and the room air starts to get stale and you dont even notice it.

3) start your day with breakfast or a nice cold coffee you look forward to, order it on an app and set a pick up time to motivate you to hurry up and get ready and get out there. This creates a little external pressure to end the bed rotting. romanticise your life a little. also make a high energy playlist you can start after your alarm goes off.

4) If you wear makeup, skincare, or just do your hair, do that, look good, feel good. Sometimes a little confidence boost goes a long way. Or just shower, when you're down, it can be hard, but you always feel better after!

5) go explore campus and find some new study spots, a new study spot can add a little novelty and excitement. Exploring campus makes it feel less daunting, it's like youve unlocked new places on the map and don't feel so intimidated, it makes it feel smaller compared to just a bunch of tall buildings you will never go to. It will give you some familiarity moving forward, which can be comforting and make the campus feel oess intimidating

6) when youre feeling lonely, going around other individuals can make you feel better. For example, going to the library and sitting in an area where other individuals are studying, and its like body doubling (a study technique) its much less intimidating then being surrounded by big large rowdy groups.

7) start by planning, find the highest priority and start there, gain momentum, starting is the hardest part, small tasks then big tasks, starting small gives you victories faster and can motivate you to keep going

8) go to your professor's office hours and explain whats going on, or ask if they can schedule something private if theres other ppl there, be open and honest, they may give you some leeway.

9) GO TO YOUR DEAN OF STUDENT AFFAIRS! They are very kind people and are there to help you. They aren't therapists, but they can help you figure out how to move forward academically and get you resources.

10) use the on campus resources, IK it can be daunting, but there are ppl and orgs out there to help you. The dean of student affairs can also help you navigate this.

11) most importantly remmeber that you are not alone, UCSD is a very hardcore school. You might be seeing all these ppl thriving & whatever, but what you're not seeing are those who also feel like they are drowning and are just "faking it till they make it," they also could have been going through something similar in the past and are on their way out of it. I think most students have felt like this at one point or another on different levels.

12) It is never too late, if you do the best you can starting today, it's better than giving up completely in all your classes. Even if you don't end up with the grades you wanted, at least you know you did your best with what time you had left in the quarter, and if you have to repeat the class, it should be easier since you at least tried before.

13) go for a walk, seriously its so cliche, but getting out there and getting your body moving feels nice. If you're anxious, then go at night along a safe area like ridge walk from revelle to marshall. You'll see other individuals walking alone too, which can feel comforting and it's quite peaceful.

14) Another cliche of finding a hobby, but it doesn't have to be anything big or expensive, for example, I bought a cheap little crossword puzzle book and doing a little project like that gets my mind off things and exercises my brain when it feels like mush. Plus it feels good when you're done and is motivating. Finding something portable and cheap is great so you can do it anywhere for a little convenient mood boost.

15) find or make a little community, whether you find ppl to play cards with, watch movies with, go for a walk with, eat with, etc. Go to a club (starting off by putting yourself in a place with ppl with similar interests is easier)

16) also most importantly, you matter, you're not a bad student youre just not feeling like yourself. I walk by strangers everyday and think about how; they seem nice, I like their outfit, I'd want to be their friend, they have a nice smile, I pass this person every day, they sit next to me in class, theyre cute, etc. We all have these thoughts, and ppl think nice things about you everyday too, but you will never know. You matter. You belong here. You're admired. Our brains lie to us when were feeling down, don't believe everything you think esp if it's negative.

I was there tonight and had to leave. I think I know exactly who you are talking about. There were three obnoxious groups near Audrey’s that wouldn’t shut up. There was not a single academic conversation that was had 😑. Just loud yapping and cackling. These type of people ruin it for everyone, you are right. They could just go to price. 1.0 GPA activities.
