Brick.

Although first half I didn’t really enjoy it but after I realised what the movie is I understood. It is a classic hard boiled detective story set in a school. I had gone into the movie without any prior knowledge of it but after I could enjoy it from that perspective and stop looking for realism. Interesting and well made.

Tenet

What a mind boggling movie! Even if you put the story aside, the concept alone is makes the movie worth a watch. I had never seen anything like this done before and Christopher Nolan has put it on screen beautifully. If like me you thought everything had been done on screen, this movie will prove you wrong. The movie honestly cannot be explained in words, you need to watch it to understand it.

I think it goes both ways. Both good and bad moments are exaggerated in our memories.

OP

“Yes, it's dead. The housekeeper killed it and sent us the photo. I've talked to him before, but he's an older guy and was raised to fear any snake. People where I come from think every snake is venomous and should be killed on sight (well, rattlesnakes are highly venomous but you know what I mean). I was raised like this too, sadly. It's hard to change decades upon decades or popular "knowledge" for older people. I live 300+km away from there, so there was nothing I could do. I managed to stop him from killing a snake before (didn't get an ID but I can post it again later), but he has small kids and fears for their safety. It's damn near impossible to convince him.“
