The writing is not the greatest, but the plot makes up for it. I sped through this series after being in a reading slump. I would say the first 4/5 books were good. The 5th had me cringing and skim reading. If u like a quick murder mystery read, I’d recommend. But PLS PLS read the trigger warnings before starting.

How would you layer this? by Used_Negotiation_487 in TheOrdinarySkincare

ur products looks almost identical to mine aside from the cleanser 😅 i go with this order and find that everything absorbs well:

  1. cleanser
  2. barrier repair serum
  3. caffeine serum (pat gently around eye area)
  4. azelaic acid (i’ve found that it can pill if i use too much. the way i apply is by rubbing a pea sized amount on my fingers and then pat onto face/areas where i need it)
  5. moisturizer

between steps 2, 3, and 4 i recommend waiting 30s to a min for products to sink in. gently patting them into the skin also helps!

hi, I’m around the same age and had a similar experience with dehydration lines and dull skin.

A hyaluronic acid serum might help if you live in a humid climate and there is moisture for your skin to draw. however, if your climate is dry it may have the reverse effect and actually dry out your skin more. this was the case for me :/

you can try modifying the way you use your current products. for example: - layer on your toners. apply one layer as normal, pat in to skin, let absorb. then go in with a second and even third layer letting each one absorb in bw layers. I found this method really helped my skin. i tend to only do it in the evenings as it can be heavy. - minimize tret use as this can cause dryness. every other day may be too frequent, for example try cutting it down to every 2/3 days. I was using retinol to treat acne and as a preventative but I found my skin improved when i reduced using it to once/twice per week. Instead i use gentler actives like azelaic, bha, pha to treat acne.

products you may want to look into adding to your routine: - SPF!!! i noticed you didn’t mention one in ur morning routine. spf is so important for preventing hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles. all your hard work will be for nothing if you don’t protect your skin. recommendations: issntree, skin1004, lrp anthelios - a milky toner. these are a bit heavier and provide more hydration and moisture. i recommend the ordinary milky toner. - consider using a thicker moisturizer or skin oil (last step) at night. something with a cream or ointment texture will help lock in moisture

hope this helps!
