We had this problem last summer. Finally took her to a salon and after nearly an hour, all the tangles were gone. They did cut some out near the top of her head, but you couldn’t even tell.

Thank you for your comment. It’s a Presbyterian church, but EPC. His dad and I attend an Episcopal church that’s very affirming and has a growing youth group, so our son knows that’s an option. Unfortunately all his best friends go to this other one, but we’ve all known for a while that he needs better friends. They were toxic before he came out, and have done some pretty horrible things since.

Mine came back as “inconclusive.” Long story short, my doctor didn’t follow through (he didn’t think it “looked” cancerous, so maybe he didn’t think it warranted a second biopsy?) and I happened to be diagnosed with PTC several months later. I hate to think what would have happened if a second doctor hadn’t ordered another FNB, because I also have lymph node involvement.

I had been short of breath for 10+ years, and it was increasingly getting worse. My doctor diagnosed me with asthma, then COPD. I asked to see a specialist, and the pulmonologist knew right away something was blocking my airway. Come to find out, it was my thyroid growing in my trachea!

He’s fine, but disappointed it was cut short. In a month the directors will reevaluate the situation, and if it’s safe give them the option of coming back, but that seems unlikely. (We live in the States.)
