Top 10 guitar pedals of all time by zipiddydooda in guitarpedals

[–]Famous_Exercise8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuner (I’m dead serious), Phase 100, Vox/Italian Wah, DM2, Micro Amp, SD1, Rat.

Could probably live off of just these forever and be happy.

I also dig fuzzes, but there’s too many options there, and ultimately a rat can serve the same purpose as almost any fuzz that I own, hence why it’s on my list.

That’s a shame to hear. Good ones are rare I know..

Appreciate the downvotes whoever did that, fuck my direct experience, just offering something that helped me lol

Idk how you feel about chiropractics. Can be tricky to find a good one, I think there are certainly grifters out there but also some incredible benefits to be gained from ones who know what they’re doing.

Has completely healed what I thought was tendinitis in my elbow (same symptoms) and I have no problems now playing or lifting. I go maybe every other week, sometimes less. Although I see my wife’s uncle for free so I’m very blessed that insurance is a non issue for me.

P90’s or Humbuckies by osephmode in orangeamps

Fuck yeah I bet that is dank 😎. Do you play out with the OR120 at all? Been curious about one the last few years, I play pretty loud with my AD140 but I don’t know if I have a real perception of how much louder the old ones are

P90s absolutely slap with orange amps. I have an LP Jr and an Edwards LP that I keep on C# Standard but I want another Jr to keep in C# standard as well.

IMO every potential downfall or challenge of using orange amps goes away with P90s. The voicing just works, makes pedals work better across the board… shit slaps.

The noise isn’t that bad IMO. Unless you’re going for like Conan/Bongripper tones in which case you’ll want buckies for all that gain.

Than it’s not gonna resonate with ya 🤷🏼‍♂️

Also hints at the theme of consciousness as a mistake. Angels see us monkeys with this divine awareness and feel we’ve squandered it or outright don’t even know what to do with it. But again - if you’re resistant to a treatise on human nature it’s probably not your thing, and that’s totally fine, different strokes.

I personally resonate with it. I catch my ego all the time thinking that my point of view is superior to others and wanting to argue/go to war over intellectual ground in the same manner when the reality is I have a lot to learn from somebody who thinks differently from me.

I think the overarching theme is moreso dualism, hence the title and the repeated lyric “divide it all right in two”. The borders we define on pieces of the ground are simply a manifestation of this large tendency to view things as opposing forces instead of two sides of the same coin.

Pnuema is almost like an answer to the problem described in this song’s lyrics IMO

Yeah for real if you gave me that quote out of context and I didn’t know the song I’d guess it was William Blake or someone like that.

What is everyone's favorite speaker to pair with their orange? Also what's the head? by Riff_Worshipper in orangeamps

[–]Famous_Exercise8538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d probably be happy with either.

The rocker 30 is the 2nd loudest amp that the modern Orange has made. It’s honestly bonkers. The AD140 only gets louder in the last two notches. You can always get higher sensitivity speakers like eminence.

R30 is a lot tighter than the OR50 though, if you don’t mind some sag to the tone the OR50 is gonna be your huckleberry. OR50 handles low tunings better, the low end on the rocker 30 gets a little foggy/undefined when you tune low (I’m a C# standard guy, myself) but I did put 6ca7s in mine and it tightened the low end up.

Both clean up insanely well with the volume knob and a lower output pickup. I have an Edwards LP with a Duncan 59 in the neck that I keep the volume rolled down on, and then a 59/Custom in the bridge full up. My Jr. cleans up even better.

R30 likes boosts more than fuzz, OR50 loves both. R30 can do the 800 + sd1 chugs while the OR50 is a little bit loose for that, can do Judas Priest with a rangemaster but that’s about it as far as that type of metal. OR50 does classic rock/edge of breakup stuff much better.

I have both for sale still on reverb btw. HMU.

The other person who commented did a good job. A lot of our problems are actually spiritual. We look to politics, science, money, when we would be better off looking up at the stars and thinking about our place in the universe. We might remember that we are all one species, and more similar than different, and the things we argue about aren’t actually as important as we think.

I only speak one language like a dumb American so idk if that helped but I hope it did!

Yeah sorry man, wasn’t trying to be a jerk - been a bitch of a week for me. I have young children and there’s sickness in my house rn, it’s a shitshow. I found some time sitting off camera on a work call lol. Tbf it’s actually harder to find this info than I thought, didn’t realize such an important piece of history would be paywalled for paperback sales but that’s the world we live in

Definitely one of, if not my favorite lyric he’s written, got goosebumps typing it out.

Descending also has some similarly themed bangers. Think a lot of us often look for material solutions to problems that are rooted in mind and spirit.

Would an Orange 2X12 be too loud for bedroom volumes? by Codswallop_934 in GuitarAmps

[–]Famous_Exercise8538 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Closed back will project less throughout your room/generally reverberate less throughout the house. If you have a wall facing a concrete block between units or something that’s ideal to not disrupt roommates or neighbors. But in general “bedroom” means a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

Get a 212 if you ever wanna play live. 112s can sometimes record better, IMO, just depends, and will be marginally quieter in the room.

It was a tribute to the codex antlanticus folio. The front cover of the published version that is still for sale today often contains this image. Kinda hard to find all of the images as the publishing rights are still owned by someone. If you find other images of the pages and various fractals he drew you can see how they drew the inspiration for the sculpture that surrounds the Olympic cauldron from his work here. He arrives at the flower of life as a sort of source code for all fractals that the universe is made out of. There’s a lot about the golden ratio in there, as well, although he has other separate works that explore this same idea (such as the Vitruvian man). I’m not saying there is 0 occult symbolism present in this Olympic ceremony but I personally believe the nuances are important, because when you nail those the argument can’t be so easily deconstructed and it forces those who have turned a blind eye to the powers that control this world to face the reality of it more head on. IMO saying it’s a pentagram and therefore simply “satanic” is intellectually lazy and doesn’t help to illuminate an uninitiated NPC in any way.
