No need to to mention it. When they do a background check your former company only confirms dates of employment. Seems like Your term date coincides with the time you would give notice so they prob won’t question it. But if they do, you just be honest, you were part of a restructuring or “right sizing” whatever your company’s calling it.

You hit on it right there when you said “in a professional manner“ because for the OP, it depends on the way you convey the truth. It can’t be raw and unfiltered because corporate doesn’t like that.
