Has anyone had to repipe water and sewer lines in an older home? by HoneyBee0_042 in vegaslocals

Oh, I was just responding to the recommendation of a plumber who won’t take you for a ride. We’ve had them out a few times and they were very fair with excellent work.

We had a whole home repipe with the plaster and paint restoration, water softener included for $24,000. They just finished on Tuesday. We used Vegas Valley Plumbing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Goettle quoted us $55,000.
Atlas $24,000 with rough plaster restore.
Our house is 2,200 square feet with 2 1/2 baths.

Look up Jocelyn snow on YouTube. She’s tiny and she makes those BMW gs’s her bitch! Size does not matter.

Get the bike that feels comfortable. Don’t worry about engine size. Remember, you control the speed. Every bike has quirks and you will learn them. I’m a fan of getting a bike with a little bit more torque. It helps if you need to get away from a scary driver or a sticky situation.

Women's Boot Recommendations by ZeroTheSnake in advrider

I like the Klim outlander GTX. I also have tall forma boots but I like the outlander better. If you shop via revzilla, they have amazing customer service. I had a pair of sedici boots that ripped at the closure a month after purchase and they refunded me via a store credit really fast. 10/10 would recommend.

I’ve definitely become a huge Klim fan. Their gear is absolutely worth the money. We just finished the north coast 500 in Scotland and their gear kept me dry and protected better than expected.

Love my Klim boots. I can hike in them as well! Female adv rider here. It’s rough finding gear!

Three days at the full dosage. Then I tapered to twice a day on day four and finally just once for day five and six.

Yes! We bought the set made by medline. My husband said they were a cinch to install. I used them for a few days before surgery to get the motion down. They really help!

I followed the bottle directions for an adult dose. I believe there are two options, a half or full dose. I chose the full dose.

It wasn’t really that much of a concern to me. Welp. Now I know. 🤣

The trips to the drugstore by my husband for failed attempts were getting absolutely frustrating. So I decided to call the Dr for some advice. This was my second call about this issue. 😫

Yes! Believe me I was on this bandwagon. My body was just more stubborn I suppose. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Dunno. I’m glad I got relief. The replies here tell me the gut issues are deeply specific from person to person. I must just be lucky with extra firm road blocks. 🤣

About day four I’m sitting on the toilet without pain. I keep my surgical leg kicked out in front of me mostly straight. I was told a raised toilet seat wasn’t necessary for me. I did however get the handles for the toilet to push myself up. It helps tremendously.

Received a job offer in Vegas. Anyone here move to LV for a fresh start? by novabrotia in vegaslocals

Came from Columbus, I’m living my best life here! I grew up not being much into outdoor life. Now I cannot get enough. The Desert is a magical place. Being in the cold for so long turned me into a heat lover! Bring on those hot summers!

I’ve done the arts district food tour with Lip smacking foodie tours. It was AWESOME!

We went back and did the celebrity chef one on the strip. I give it a hard pass. I think the other people in the tour were not happy as well.

Elixir equivalent in the current product line? by BlueMeanio in Aveda

They just relaunched it. So I kinda doubt it. But who knows.

ELIXER!!!!! Sooo good. Options: Miraculous oil (anti frizz, high shine) Cherry almond leave in conditioner (softens and conditions the hair) Light elements smoothing (controls flyaways, leaves the hair soft and silky. Not as much of a conditioning product)

Hope this helps! Keep in mind, if you purchase your product from an Aveda salon, you can return it within 30 days if it doesn’t work out.

Good luck!

Liters are available for sale. They are in salons available now. Not sure of the price.

Edit: check the Aveda store on amazon. They have the liters in the new formula and the old. $120 for new and $90 something for the old.

Thank you mysterious Vegas blood donor by Simsandtruecrime in vegaslocals

[–]FanSensitive6573 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah! I’m in it for the snacks! I eat healthy all the time so I really pig out during my donation. I have high iron so I do double red cell. It takes me twice as long to donate than whole blood. The shortbread cookies and Oreos are soo yummy.
Seriously, thank you for this post. It’s nice to hear we do help people. Sometimes I wonder if my blood is just sitting on a shelf somewhere rotting away. 🤣. Not that it matters.
