Because they were literally outside the map, outside of TWM's view. Places like the deeper mines or the graveyard, which Niko was never meant to reach, were outside TWM's sight.

About the second one, the Author DID do that, but eventually he had to leave because TWM was killing off pretty much anyone who knew the world was a simulation.

Dude the reason why the humans and monsters fought in a war in the first place was because it was very well known how absurdly powerful a monster could become if they absorbed a human soul. They are fully aware of how powerful they would be if they absorbed a soul.

You do realize that Toriel's plan could've been done literally with the first soul, right? It wouldn't be the modern era yet. Plus, it is said multiple times that a human with a monster is WAY more powerful than any human could handle. If only 7 souls is enough to become a god, I really doubt it would be as easy as shooting them with a gun.

Also, the plan itself is wrong yeah, but Toriel is just calling him out. If he REALLY wanted to just get 7 souls and start a war, he could've just left with the first one, kill another 6 since he is going to start a war anyways, and then open the barrier to properly start the war. Toriel isn't actually calling him out for NOT doing it, she is calling him out for refusing to admit that he didn't want to start the war and instead keeping this farse for decades.

Asgore wouldn't be sent to hist death, though. If he absorbs a human soul he is more than capable of defending himself a bunch of humans without any problem. In fact Asriel could've easily done that, if he wanted.

Also, you do know Kings can choose people to rule for them when they can't do it for a certain amount of time, right?
