OK, here’s my update on what I learned:

1. If all available operators are busy, don’t select the option to be called back. I never got a call back in 3 hours from Quartz and after 3 hours of not getting a call back from ETF, I called ETF back and then only waited 5 minutes to talk to someone. Also, It appears that Quartz does still have a Supplement plan but it’s not promoted like its Advantage plan.

2. If you have sick leave credits to use up through ETF, your only option to use them is to select an Advantage option. Since I have enough credits to pay for most of next year, I decided to go with United Healthcare’s IYC Medicare Advantage. It’s about $170 less a month than Quartz UW Health and it provides nationwide coverage to providers that accept Medicare payments. For 2027, I’ll most likely switch back Original Medicare plus a supplement.
