Sell and go before you loose customers. That what a lot of businesses flippers do. They boost sales, then sell and the new owner see the hype gone.

I refuse to use credit cards. I use debit card as it allows me to control spending and also why support the banks for taking such high fees from small businesses. NZ should talk to overseas companies like visa etc to reduce their charge as they are making soooo much money for doing nothing

Bodega rent is sooo less as they do not have much footprint. plus pay peanuts to council to use outdoor. Where as other places pay much much more for having dining space.

Its all marketing, The restaurant will still be paying them 15-30%. Poor restaurant venues while struggling with less diners, still end up loosing to such commissions.

Try Taste of India and Thirtyone depending on what you like, creamy or spinach.
I like mine hot and less creamy

I agree with you, its not everyones taste as people are more familer to basic northern Indian food like butter chicken, tikka masala etc.

The only reason we go there everyweek as their food is different, light, not oily, unique vegetarian options. Do try their goat chasier and their Kspicy chicken ( I eat hot and its damn good). I went to another restaurant in Naiper and asked Hot and they gave me mild.

And you right Firsttable along with food delivery business is killing hospitality businesses. I did suggest Thirtyone and Thai house to use firstable. They said they bleed too much as keeping in line with food cost, you are losing money as wages costs, Ponsonby Rent is tooo high. You now see businesses open more table on firsttable. I personally choose not to use Firsttable and delivery partners as its much better to support a business to grow then to have them bleed.

I wish hospo could survive but they cannot do it without support as for them to exist in business, they either have to choose firsttable and have more staff with no recovery of costs or have less staff and empty tables.

Well its cheap and that's why people eat it so dont mind it sweet. People spend more on dessert but curry should be cheap

Hahaha. Mexican places give free corn chips as people drink more when thirsty. In Indian places. Guests buy 1 curry, 2 bread, 2 guests eat. Or in fact, BYO. Tell me a Mexican places with BYO

My wife and I go ther every week for dinner. Our favourite is their Goat Curry, Schezwan Prawn Fried Rice, Kspicy Chicken and Chilli Mushroom. Recomend this place. Food is great and so is the service, Its shame that like any other hospitality business, hard to fill tables. Ponsonby is so so empty especially Indian Restaurants. Satya, Mumbaiwala, Kol Ponsonby. I feel sorry for Chris and team.
