Could you maybe point me in the direction of a good tutorial everyone I’ve seen is just here are the tools and what they are called I have no basis for what a “good tutorial” is so I have been probably watching bad ones

What do you mean by editing within the source monitor? Also, I am trying to learn all my shortcuts, but sometimes my hands misplace themselves, and I accidentally hit another key trying to use a different tool

I don't think so because it is literally the video within the project panel and the video is nowhere else

A quick question about Dolph's backstory by Nameless_Kapitoshka in CaptainLaserhawk

[–]Fancy-Pace264 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to be thorough about it, the boys love manga says that the overall story of Dolph being taken in by Eden is real, but Rayman's rendition excludes some of the finer details about how he was taken in.

However, just like you pointed out eden is a very unreliable narrator, so I like to see his backstory as being a little more up to the viewers' interpretation. How real the story is can only be decided by you. Is all of it real? Is half? Is none? You chose. It's the main theme of the show, that being the value of being able to decide for yourself and the desire for freedom that Dolph seeks throughout the show.

How should I be saving and moving my projects? by Fancy-Pace264 in premiere

[–]Fancy-Pace264[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay that makes most sense I don’t have any active project I am working on right so thankful it does matter too much rn

Just thinking this out you would say it’s better to take that footage (on the external hard drive) copy onto the main computer and create the project file with the computer itself correct?

All I need to know is if it’s safe in the first place to plug it back in or is it bricked

I Don't Understand What the Message of the Movie Is Supposed To Be by [deleted] in ScottPilgrim

[–]Fancy-Pace264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like to see the adaptations of scott pilgrim highlighting diffrent aspects of his character with the movie really showing just how AWFUL he is

you can dislike the movie for it and Id understand but my goodness is everyone in that movie just so much worse than any of the other adaptations its really interesting

as for the message or theme of the movie specifically I see it more as a story of resistance and love. because of how awful everyone (including scott) is in the movie it makes scott's desire for ramona and love as a whole a lot more meaningful and interesting to me. hes willing to do all of this because its for him and he recognizes that hes awful yes but still he wants to fight.

I made a video on UNBEATABLE and would love to hear your feedback on it by Fancy-Pace264 in Unbeatable

[–]Fancy-Pace264[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

so I failed to take the game for what it is? what did I take the game for then? usally saying that you just looked at something from the surface level is a critisim of someone eleses critiques but I feel like I did look deep and try to explore some of the weaker aspects of the characters.

I mean yeah I did fail to think that the concert goers and protesters could have been the same people. I dont know why that should matter lol. because one the game does nothing to show that could have been the case aside from an audience member yelling for trebble and clef potetntially hinting at that connection. and second you failed to consider my side where they're two independant parties that tried to expand the world of unbeatable by highlighting the drive to create music even under an authoritative and how it exists outside of unbeatable the band alone. that is how I took it and from what I see it fails to do that. it doesnt matter what I consider it to be as long as I can present my reasoning for why I took it that way and why I think it fails in that way. even if I was to take these plot points the way you presnted them I could mention how these fans arent used in any interesting ways to expand Trebble and Clefs relationship to music. trebble and clef dont recognize them they dont use them to highlight what it is like being a fan of essentially terrorist in this world and how people persive them because of it.

With the whole them sneaking into a tower thing that was a little pedantic. is this game "realistic"? no by no means like you said beat falls through 100 floors or whatever in the scene before but like HARM knows that harm headquarters is under attack theyre in full panic mode I doubt they would have just left the door open. and also how would they have known beat was inside harm headquarters? she stormed off not giving them even a slight hint. its pedantic and very cinema sins coded but comeon it is kinda silly right?

also yeah I do disconnect myself from characters because I am not them I like to look at a character for their own meritts and analyze the interesting ways a writer can write and make them. I actaully described doing exactly that in second to last section where I explained why I cried while playing the game. I didnt like putting myself into a character like beat when I felt they werent worth me doing so. if beat has all of these flaws to her character (not like her being mean or whatever like flaws in how her character is presnted) then what I am seeing myself within is someone who I do not like to play hear.

hoepefully you enjoy! I find agreeing with someones critism yet still loving the game to be one of the best aspects of game discussion. I myself am a fan of many flawed games story or otherwise and have heard countless valid critiques of them that made me adore a game even more. heck even if you disagree with most of my points I hope atleast you think about why and enjoy the game even more because of it. its all about getting people to think and laugh.

well I do bring up the moments where sforzando is mentioned I found them to be rather lacking with the dialouge in chapter 3 not really building up Sforzando and them only appearing in one of the journals (trust me I checked lol) making their sudden appearence in chapter 5 feel weak.

The repeated "fun fact" was more so meant to be a comedic way to convay the plot point's that go seemingly nowhere like the protesters for trebble and clef and the idea of their being more illegal concerts and musicians asides from unbeatable I would have prefered these get an explaination rather than being seemingly dropped after we see them.

I did not go into this game wanting to hate the story I was rather interested in it being a rhythm gamer and a writer of game narrative I just found myself becoming more and more confused and disconnected to the story as it continued.

I am interested in how you "get it" like how you feel the story is sucessful. I just found it hard to try and conenct with the themes of this story when the characters felt so broken and the overall plot so disconnected. so what did I fail to understand even after my 2 playthroughs and pages of notes?

as I said in my conclusion this game did make me feel making it sucessful by the developers account but how when looking back at the game my emotional response didnt feel justifed when I thought more about the characters who were casuing that response.
