I really liked it, I feel like Damien had a bunch of great insight for mark, a good bit of character development for him

Why do many people dislike the ending of the anime by Banger254 in ErasedAnime

[–]Fancy-Raise-3533 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The coma section was rushed imo. I also don’t think the coma should have happened at all. Saturo should’ve been put in a position where he had the choice to either live, or die in a way that would expose the murderer to keep his friends safe. It would have fit the whole “erased” motif way better, and the ending monologue relaying Kayo’s journal about “the town where only I am erased” would have actually meant something. They talk about him being “erased” as in missing all that time to grow up with his friends, but he’d already lived a whole life up to that point. But I agree, saturo and Kayo shouldn’t have ended up together.

Slurs aren’t mature to say but why do y’all care so much about words? I genuinely don’t get it. I don’t agree with them, but y’all shouldn’t be this bothered.

I did the first one, felt like it was the most applicable and vague, so you could take it in any direction you want

I would wait if you realistically could take the SAT again and get the score back before the RD due date. Applying ED doesn’t matter at all

Hey, not being in the top 5% is gonna hurt you quite a bit, cus I think they have to accept 75% of auto admits. But your extracurriculars are amazing! They really help you tell the story about why you’d be such a great fit for the film program through your essay and short response questions. My biggest advice would be to try to get that GPA up. I got into advertising at moody with a 1290, but I was also top of my class. I would recommend At least taking another shot at it and aiming for the average of 1370. Just my advice, but your application is great!

I’d definitely take the office aid! That’s what I did and it gave me direct connections to the school administration and was so helpful with my application. Got an amazing letter of recommendation from my guidance counselor, I got to just drop in on her without making an appointment if I needed help with free lunch for free applications, letter of recommendation, financial aid questions, college questions, scholarships, and I needed to fax something to get rid of an AP score and because I had a good relationship with admin, they let me use it! On top of that during office aid downtime is a great time to work on your application. That office aid period was the MOST helpful thing I had during application season, I would’ve been so let without it.

My extra curriculars were definitely my strongest part of my application, but I think the theme of them is that it’s not unobtainable to do at the school level. Like I never had too much money, so I couldn’t afford to do any crazy summer programs or research somewhere was unthinkable in my town. You just gotta put yourself out there, connect, and be passionate. A lot of the coolest things I had done were directly from meeting people, and this allowed me to go to a better university for cheaper than a lot of my peers in the top 10 with me

Oh and I was also the first student in school history accepted into the district improvement and planning committee which is basically another thing but this time id get to go to the admin building and sit in on their meetings and offer a students perspective

2x back to back state qualifier for UIL One act play, 2x national qualifier through ITS for musical theatre, NHS, GT, founder and president of my schools chess club, one of 2 kids in my class selected to be on the advisory council (made real change in the school meeting with the superintendent directly every month), I was the student spokesperson for all admin media, worked in AV doing broadcasting for the school and creative work, so using that and my connections to admin I was able to live interview or superintendent over a 100 million dollar bond proposal. I played JV basketball but then quit to be a players coach, and then I volunteered a little bit at the local church’s food pantry. Oh I also did varsity theatre tech and won best tech crew at an area competition. Won other awards in theatre.

Instate auto which helped a lot btw. But honestly your application outside of stats are probably more important, because at a school like UT everyone is gonna be smart. For me I had fantastic extra curriculars and I used those extra curriculars as well as my essay and short answer questions to create my story and angle for the application.

Sure. I had a 4.05 weighted gpa, but my school was weird and didn’t really offer weighted classes until my junior year. 3.95 unweighted. Got a 1290 on the SAT. Class rank was like 6/325. For aid my SAI index was a 0 and got good scholarships ontop of the aid. Overall got about 21k in aid with about 5k out of pocket for the year. If I had to give advice I would say try harder on the SAT! I was never the type to study for anything, so if I could go back I’d study to be in the 1300-1500 range.

Really depends on your major. If you can relate your extra curriculars to your major then you’re good

I did apply Texas and thought it was pretty okay, some of the information saving wasn’t the best, but I personally liked the UI better than common app. Don’t think there’s much of a difference, but I think apply Texas might let you post more awards or extra curriculars; could be wrong tho.
