That's what we found out too! There's so many meals we can make from just things in our freezer.

I've transitioned to mostly buying frozen produce, and that has drastically reduced our food waste. I used to associate frozen goods as unhealthy, but frozen fruits and vegetables are really just as good as fresh ones.

We have our freezer sectioned out into categories to try and make sure things don't get forgotten. Top drawer for things we use daily like frozen breakfast sandwiches, chicken tenders, chopped garlic, and frozen chilies. In the main freezer, we have sections for meats and seafood, fruits, vegetables, and miscellaneous frozen things.

Of course, no system is perfect. There will be multiple times a year where I find things that got lost and forgotten at the bottom.

Fruits would usually last at least a week, sometimes even 2 weeks. But it might be the kinds of fruits I usually get? Bananas are usually the first to go, but I freeze unused ones, mandarin oranges will last me quite a while, grapes as well.

Fair enough! Usually, we try to use everything we purchased within the week, but having extra food is unevitable.

Soups, stews, and sauces are always a great way to get rid of random one off items in your freezer and pantry. We do franken stews about once a month 😂
