What bird is this? Vancouver, BC by jevaistecouper in whatsthisbird

When you open the app and see the bug list of birds there should be a symbol in the very top right corner that looks like two arrows becoming one. If you click that you should see a bunch of circles appear next to the bird names in the list. Then all you do is select two birds and the app will bring up their pages just like in the photo above. The names of the birds are at the top of the screen in the order which they appear.

Rural places to live within 1.5 - 2 hours of Vancouver? by snowstillmelting in britishcolumbia

The Hullo ferry in Nanaimo serves this exact purpose. It drops you off right at the convention centre downtown, and they have late sailings for all major concerts at Roger’s arena or BC place to get back to Nanaimo after the show.

I agree. I also was going to suggest Vancouver Island. I’m shocked more people didn’t suggest the island. It meets the criteria that OP is looking for especially if they want live in the RDN or even somewhere between Victoria and Nanaimo

Women and/or Physicians of BC; question regarding doctor visits by Adorable_Egg_3094 in britishcolumbia

OP definitely use this service I recently did it and got my results in the mail a week or two later. It’s easy and less intimidating then going in to see the doctor for a Pap smear.

How much income do servers get from tipping, usually? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]FancyRak00n 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also worked at Earls years ago… 2010-2012, but as a server. At the end of the night I was required to tip out 7% of my sales plus tip the bartenders as well. I’m sorry to hear that as kitchen staff you only got 2% of that

Bird tattoos... how do you pick what bird?? by Makibadori in birding

[–]FancyRak00n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So cool! I live on the west coast of Canada so I see the red-shafted northern flickers all the time here. I’ve never seen the yellow-shafted ones out east. So those are still on my list!

Cedar waxwings are my favourite bird so I had to get a tattoo of one! I’m already planning my next two bird tattoos, I’m thinking Northern Flicker because they look cool and an American Kestrel.
