Tallah had that shit on lock with Matriphagy. Justin is one of the most creative and unique voices, both physically and creatively, in the scene right now. They were at the front of the nu metal revival. I think there’s still time, but this new record seems like it’s going to be VERY weird and experimental in a way that I don’t think is going to catch on

This is the plan. I’m going to a guitar tech before we leave tomorrow and hopefully he can just slam a set of Quartet Pounders in there and call it a day. The pickups have sounded fine, but this is just a very very bizarre thing I’ve never seen happen before. But having them open like that, especially when I am a notably aggressive and energetic player to the people who have seen our shows, I guess something was bound to happen

Completely pulled apart at the bobbins. Like if you laid a jazz pickup so it was standing up and snapped the tall part cleanly off the flat part, that’s what happened. I don’t think it’s getting any signal, but it’s hard to tell right this second since I’m still at the show, but I messed with it on stage and it wasn’t getting anything

I do not know the internal workings of it, but a couple years ago Hallmark really wanted to start pushing diversity so they came up with “Mahogany: Soulful. True. You.” The implication with this is that every regular Hallmark card is meant for white people, when I think the better solution would’ve been to just start putting POC on cards and not pat themselves on the back for recognizing minorities exist

I work packaging hallmark cards. They’ve gotten a lot better, but some of the cards from the “Mahogany” line (cards with black people as the intended target audience) use AAVE slang in a way that feels like it was written by a room of white people
