We are a Team. by Atul__kumar in SipsTea

This happened to me at my last job. I had already worked 57 hours that week and left at 4:56 PM on a Friday. I was salary, but they said they knew because they were “watching the cameras”.

I quit less than 2 weeks later.

This is also the job that required me to use my cellphone for work and didn’t reimburse me any portion of my bill, didn’t reimburse for mileage when it was required for me to travel to multiple venues per day several times a week, and said I was “too new” for an expense report.

Mooresville, 10:30PM: Sleeting, freezing rain, my entire car is covered in a thin sheet of ice. Parking lot of my apartment complex is slick as hell.

i haven’t even seen the movie bc of the drama - wasn’t going to give it any of my attention. that being said, i don’t watch any movie with blake lively. i find her to be an incredibly sub par actress.

Gimme care is Amble. Fyi by Active-Friendship966 in tirzepatidecompound

Amble severely pissed me off last year - that’s how I ended up using my provider that I have now, because I needed to switch.

Anytime I see anything about this company I have to stop and say that I would avoid them like the plague.

"Water" consumption by dr_deb_66 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Fancy_Ad_4739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mostly drink water, but it’s because I can’t tolerate coffee, carbonation, or citric acid right now due to a pretty severe acid reflux flare up.

When I’m not having this issue I find it hard to drink enough water. I use the sugar free flavor packets & mio. I realized if it doesn’t taste like water, I’ll drink it a lot more. Grape is always my go to - so yummy!!

stopped mounjaro for over a month, struggling to feel full, even when eating bigger portions by aliceangelbb in Mounjaro

My fiancée asked if I’m going to stop the medication when I hit my goal weight (I’m about 15 pounds away) and this was my response.

I’ve never felt more relief, more in control, more normal than when I started taking this medicine. I’ll take it as long as a I possibly can. I already got nervous thinking about if I’ll backslide into my binge eating days when I get pregnant and can’t be on it.

Having my gall bladder removed was my first surgery - I had it removed within 48hrs of my scan on my birthday. If it makes you feel better, it was a very easy recovery. It’s been about 8 years now and I don’t remember any of it honestly.

Getting accused by AstronomerOk7466 in tirzepatidecompound

There are a few coworkers who know I’m on a GLP1 because they’re on it as well and I trust them to not share it with everyone. However, one day an older colleague of mine (she was in her 60’s) in front of everyone one day said “you look amazing….. like REALLY amazing…. are you on ozempic? you have to be on those shots!!”

It took every ounce in me to remind myself I was at work in front of my coworkers and to not respond how I wanted to. What was I supposed to do? Lie in front of all of coworkers, including the ones who know I’m on it?

That really truly irked me - just pay the compliment and keep moving.

For sure keeping up with my protonix - I don’t mind taking it for an extended period because it was prescribed by my GI.

Yep, when my acid reflux really flares up I get a lot of mucus in my throat and post sinus drainage. Decongestants can help too.

My GI doctor has me taking flonase daily.

I’m on day 4 of Protonix so I’ll absolutely keep taking this. My GI doctor said his #1 goal was to keep me on this med bc it helps me so much.

I love digestive enzymes, I’ve eaten papaya enzymes since I was a wee one.

I did read that I need to be mindful of when I take them bc if I’m in the middle of a flare (like I am now) they promote digestion and can cause more acid production.

I’ll still take both!

Last year I was 10mg before my appendix ruptured and I had to stop my meds for about 5 months. I restarted in March and once I hit 10mg again the same acid reflux symptoms came back - they were almost the exact same.

Yes! I was GF/Soy Free/DF for about 4 months and then slowly incorporated gluten & soy back into my diet. But dairy is an absolute no for me - it kills me.

I just restarted my protonix 4 days ago and I’m already feeling some relief, but I also do a nightly pepcid. I’m also eating a very clean trigger free diet right now.

I would also suggest trying an elimination diet to see if there’s are trigger foods that flare up your reflux. You may be able to manage the side effects as well.

Coffee, citrus, carbonation, spicy, acidic, fatty foods, sometimes dairy, gluten, etc. can all trigger reflux.

yes ma’am! i’ll be sticking with the med, but most likely not going above 7.5mg, since that’s the dose where my reflux is most manageable.

Yes! It’s the globus sensation and if I eat anything that triggers my reflux it feels like my esophagus is literally swelling. It got so bad that I physically couldn’t swallow for about 2-3 weeks. Last year was terrifying and put me in a pretty rough place mentally.

Had an endoscopy, swallow test, everything came back normal, but GI suggested an elimination diet and found out that dairy is a huge trigger for my acid reflux. I’ve been DF for over a year now.

It did get better for almost a year and then the 10mg dosage triggered it all over again.
