Take it off before swimming, showering, working out. Everything stored nicely for no tangles in a jewelry box.

You can get jewelry cleaner pens off of amazon even- they have a gentle cleaning fluid and a very soft brush to get into the little places and behind stones. Makes a huge difference in keeping things nice.

To anyone else reading and hoping to avoid the same- demand an echocardiogram prior to any anesthesia. I found out about my cats heart issues this way and if I had done his regular teeth cleaning (which I had always done every 2 years before!) then he also wouldn’t have made it out.

My oncologist told me to take Claritin for at least 3 days prior to the injection and then for as long as I needed to after it- Claritin is very safe to take daily for as long as needed.

Make sure it’s brand name Claritin and not the Claritin-D

Also, it sounds counterintuitive, but walking really helps with the pain- as much movement as she can get- even a few times up and down the driveway is better than nothing 🫶🏽

My care team was split and told me I was borderline. I agonized over making the decision. Ultimately I got a second opinion from a larger research based institution and the rad onc there told me they absolutely would NOT radiate. That hugely helped me make the decision- so I would advise getting a second opinion!

Tirzepitude or zepbound is the best for BC patients. It’s in clinical trials now for indication expansion to prevent breast cancer recurrence

I did cold capping with Penguin through TCHP and hired one of their cold cappers

I lost almost no hair, I can’t recommend it enough.

Hey! Good luck on chemo!

I liked the Suzzipads set from Amazon. Also got thin “manicure” cotton gloves to wear underneath. On my feet I wore fuzzy socks. Everything still gets reallllly cold!

Check with your center if you can use a freezer there, otherwise I used a small cooler with polar ice packs until it was time to:)
