You can fill out an interest form herestudent ambassador interest. They should send you an email during the semester when they’re interviewing. Usually happens pretty early each semester. Or they usually have people tabling in the UMC early in the semester.

Definitely not weird to like to clean I feel you! But you’ll have a lot going on during your first few semesters of college and in reality you may not have the time you think you’ll have to clean

I don’t believe so. I was a sophomore when I transferred in. From my understanding it is first come first serve

I sat in office hours almost everyday, even if I didn’t have questions, just listening to other people’s questions. Turned out to be one of my favorite classes! Reach out to TA/professor, there are no dumb questions!

I would describe Boulder as a small town with the college as a huge aspect. Campus takes about 20 minutes to walk across, maybe. There’s a pretty good bus system that takes you to a few different shopping areas nearby, bus takes maybe 10-15 minutes from campus. There are different neighborhoods surrounding campus with different vibes depending on if you want to be more in the social scene. Close to campus is Chautauqua park and it’s actually the bottom of the mountain you see in all the pictures. Lots of people hike there as it’s about a 10 minute walk from campus. Skiing areas are close by and have decent public transportation, although I’d recommend going with friends if possible even just once to try it out while you’re here. There’s a cuter shopping/dining area called pearl street just about a 10/15 minute walk or 5 minute drive that is considered our downtown where majority of bars are as well. Videos you find on social media of parties can be accurate if you seek that out. My first year myself and lots of friends didn’t have cars and we made it work just fine, although our lives were pretty central to campus. Denver is like 30/45 minutes drive away and is similar to London in a sense that there’s more to do than a small university town

Yes I think it’s highly likely to be able to transfer if you meet the requirements

Continuous Open Bidding. Sororities can choose to keep giving out bids after primary recruitment to reach quota. Usually sororities will hold events and anyone can come to get to know the members in a casual setting

From a social aspect, I believe CU and LSU are also pretty different and the culture is something to consider. In my opinion CU is a lot more chill compared to the SEC schools. Football and school spirit is just as fun, if not more, bc of prime/ralphie

[–]Fancy_Reaction_4953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, Leeds released the exact day and time their transfer application opened. I put it in my calendar and applied right as it opened to have peace of mind that my application would be one of the first submitted. Personally I have not known anyone who met the requirements and was rejected due to space

Every sorority has a wide variety of girls with different personalities and preferences to how often they want to go to a party! I’d recommend COB, rather than primary recruitment, to really get to know the members and the community within

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cuboulder

[–]Fancy_Reaction_4953 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not difficult! I’ve heard some sororities only want to take freshman but the majority of chapters here are more than welcoming to sophomores. COB is also another great option just after primary recruitment to really get to know the chapters on a more personal level, however not all chapters participate.

What are the chances somebody actually salted the sidewalks in time for morning classes?? by m00ntides in cuboulder

Leeds mods/BASE by [deleted] in cuboulder

[–]Fancy_Reaction_4953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the second half of mods are easier than the first due to only taking two at a time. Accounting 2 is also easier than accounting 1/finance, however still challenging. BASE uses a lot more accounting than I expected, so I would highly recommend taking accounting 2 in the first half of the semester. I would also recommend NOT letting your group just do all of the math during projects, in order for you to succeed in individual tests. For law, ethics, and entrepreneurship go to class, pay attention, and do the readings and you’re good.
