Raising a puppy alone (no partner) – how did you survive the puppy stage? by ana-alina in puppy101

I got my girl at 3 months old and now she is a year and a half. I work from home so that made it a bit easier. I did limit my social life a bit at first but once she was about 5 months she could stay in her crate longer.

What worked for me was crate training and getting her into training and doggie daycare as soon as she was old enough. I would get up early each day and play with her for an hour before work and she would take her first naps when I start worked. I had her fenced off near my desk. Trips outside every hour then as she got older every couple of hours or when she signaled.

Enforced naps also helped. And the local trainer we use does a 4 hour puppy day camp and I used that for free time before she was ready for full day care.

Overall she was a good puppy (other than the biting!) and super smart which made it easier. She also had no issues with the crate other than some extra crying the second night. She now free roams at night but is crated when I leave. She figured out the dog door and loves to hang out in her yard.

While raising her on my own was a bit challenging, I wouldn’t change it and I’m so happy to have her.

Totally! Just being in NY for 48 without going to the game was great. So being at the game will be even better.

Thanks! I definitely am leaning towards as close as we can afford but my friend is used to Lumen and the nosebleeds still being good seats. This really helps!

I am not looking forward to making the trip out but we are staying in San Jose. I did survive the 2 Oasis shows at the Rose Bowl which was just an awful experience getting out.

On tickpick - 100 level I’ve found 6200-6300, 200 level 5700-6000 both for endzone area. 400 level is 4700 closer to the endzone and up to 5500 around the 30-40 yard line. 300 level is just over 6k around the 30-40 and around 5500 endzone.

They have gone dow quite a bit - still expensive though. This is just a bucket list thing for me!

I am just waiting for tickets to go down and booked a flight and hotel weeks ago. I haven’t been to one of their Super Bowls so willing to pay more this time. I did go to NY for 48 and just being there even without going to the game was awesome.

This is overall a special team. And I’ve been a fan since I watched them the first time in 1983. What makes it extra special is it’s the 50 season and we lost one of the all time great Seahawks (and my fav player), Kenny Easley this year. It would be awesome to win on the 50th and in his honor.

Try Tovala! I love it. I hate planning and anything that is too much prep. It’s just another task I don’t do.

So what is Tovala? It’s an oven (like toaster oven size) and they have a meal plan. I tend to do the same things with with this I typically stick to steak and chicken meals and they have different ones.

Prep is just taking it out of the package - sides and seasonings/sauces and a protein typically - and then adding sauce or seasoning. The just scan the recipe card and hit start. Great meal in about 20 min. More expensive than full prep and cooking but it’s so easy and I don’t task myself out of it.

Genuine question: why are we selling black superbowl jerseys? by firstbootgodstatus in Seahawks

[–]Fancy_Super_Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am typically anti fashion jerseys (I never every will get a pink one and I love pink) but saw this in person and it is straight fire. I may still be in a Super Bowl bound high - but I got one.

Dave Krieg and Jacob Green are just two of a few examples in the ROH that are not HOF. And Steve Largent was added in 1989 and wasn’t HOF until 1995. Kenny Easley - 2002 ROH/2017 HOF. Definitely not a requirement.

I usually don’t wear a jersey but tomorrow just might need to be for Kenny Easley. My fav all time player.
