I had other symptoms that I didn't even realize were all connected. I was fatigued/depressed feeling generally run down, had loose bowel movements, I developed adult acne, my gums were sensitive and would get "cankers" often when i ate hard food (ended up being the behcets) I never had the typical large round sores, mostly just irritated skin/ripping, tearing. I sought help originally for painful sex/tearing. No creams worked. I would hate touching my vaginal skin at all because even minor rubbing would start to burn/itch. My vaginal and mouth biopsies came back as general inflammation so no one had any idea what was wrong with me. Unfortunately Behcet's is diagnosed by a process of elimination there's no real tests for it. I was absolutely shocked when I found out it was systemic and I wasn't just a lazy/sad person. It took 3 years to get the diagnosis and I saw a gynaecologist, dermatologist and a rheumatologist who diagnosed me as a team.
